A region with a rich cultural heritage situated to the right of the Rhine between Wiesbaden and Lorch, the Rheingau is renowned for its picturesque villages, historic castles, palaces, churches and monasteries – for a truly romantic experience. On day two, you continue your journey through the Rheingau region, following a section of the Rhine that has been designated a UNESCO world heritage site. Enjoy breathtaking views from behind the wheel with glimpses of the spectacular castles, palaces and fortresses on the other side of the river. You then pass the legendary 132-metre high Loreley rock near St. Goarshausen. Break for lunch at Johann Lafer’s Stromburg restaurant before setting off on the return journey to Ludwigsburg.
