From an early age, Grace Cheung, with her love for art, design, and fashion, was inspired during a summer vacation before entering college by a biography of an architect. This inspiration led her to abandon a medical career path in favor of architecture. Her dream was filled with challenges, and she faced criticism and doubts throughout her academic journey, even questions about her innate talents. Yet, Grace remained undaunted. With resilience and determination, she forged her own architectural career.
In the male-dominated field of architecture, Grace not only earned the AIA International Design Award for her talent, but her works also found their place in Phaidon's 21st Century World Architecture. Confronting challenges, she didn't replicate success but rather broke environmental constraints through creativity, learning, and persistence.
Her designs transformed the Porsche Driving Centre into a unique experiential space, infusing Porsche's spirit into the surroundings. Here, car owners and enthusiasts experience a distinct interactive ambiance. Maintaining a monochromatic palette with colorful adornments, the space epitomizes Porsche's innovative, vibrant dream spirit.
An avid Porsche lover, Grace owns a 718 GT4 RS in GT Silver Metallic. While gray might seem dull to the average person, she finds that the nuances between black and white present the most versatile and ever-changing spectrum of color. She says, "For those who appreciate color and detail, gray offers unexpected possibilities and imaginations through its variations."
Grace continues her pursuit of new horizons, embracing the belief in "endless dreaming." She keeps the eternal flame of her dreams alive, aspiring to inspire more women to break the boundaries of gender and age, to courageously chase their dreams and boldly shatter any confines.
