Your Porsche is already a dream come true. But what would the dream of Porsche be if the dream didn't live on? If it didn't offer sufficient scope for all of your ideas? If it wasn't as individual as your lifestyle? Practical but not ordinary. That is our benchmark. And also that of many Porsche enthusiasts.

Whilst we have been personalising Porsche Sports Cars after delivery since the 1950’s, the constantly growing demand for genuine Porsche accessories provided the impetus for our next step: the establishment of Porsche Tequipment – short for “Technical Equipment” – in 1995.

We’d like to take you back in time when the expansion of the product range had gathered speed quickly, as more and more ideas for further accessories were transpiring. This indeed was how the first wind deflector for Porsche cabriolets came to be. Working with a supplier, the product was brought to the industrial application stage after extensive testing. And a short time later, it was offered as an accessory for the 944 and 968 models for the first time. The sales figure for this retrofit option meant that wind deflectors were quickly included in the regular equipment range for subsequent cabriolet generations straight from the factory.

Porsche Tequipment offers a wide range of accessories for retrofit personalisation. On the one hand the range offers product benefits, e.g. in the form of tailored, model-specific transport systems or the child car seats. On the other hand it enhances driving pleasure, with products ranging from sports exhaust systems through visual personalisation options such as black headlights to complete wheel and tyre sets in a unique design.

The underlying principle across the entire Porsche Tequipment range is that they are designed with the overall vehicle in mind by the same engineers and designers who create the vehicles. This is mainly done in the Porsche Development Centre in Weissach. Like the vehicles, all accessory products undergo time consuming testing during their development. After all, they are more than just an accessory: they are part of a harmonious overall concept. Part of a Porsche.

Porsche Tequipment's core products also include sets of wheels designed by Porsche. They have become best sellers in the accessories range. Porsche Tequipment launched the first of its own wheel designs in 1997: the 17-inch Dyno wheel for the first-generation Boxster. The wheel – which was only available as a retrofitting option – was the result of close cooperation with the Porsche Design Studio. This laid the foundation for many subsequent joint development projects, among them the 19-inch Sport Classic wheel, offered by Porsche Tequipment as part of a limited production run of the same name.

Motor sports accessories have also been available from Porsche Tequipment since 2008. Full everyday usability, with road approval included. For extraordinary performance and outstanding good looks. Visible and perceptible evidence of lessons learned from over 30,000 race victories.

Porsche Tequipment opened the next chapter in its history in 2013 with the addition of E-Performance accessories for the 918 Spyder Super Sports Car. The direction chosen for the future was consolidated with the range for the Panamera S E-Hybrid and Cayenne S E-Hybrid.
