Two brands, one mission: the two classic car departments of Volkswagen and Porsche exhibited together on one stand at the Bremen Classic Motorshow from January 31rd to February 2nd 2014.
The Bremen Classic Motorshow is the biggest of its kind in northern Europe. For twelve years now, the show has marked the start of the new vintage car season. This year, more than 45,000 visitors descended on the exhibition halls in the Hanseatic city to seek advice from 600 exhibitors from twelve countries. The theme of the Bremen Classic Motorshow 2014 was the “economic miracle” in Germany. In special shows, the vintage car show exhibited a variety of carefully selected cars from the early 50s to the late 60s. The Sports Cars of high society were presented along with the small cars in which tens of thousands of German families set out on their holidays.
Porsche Classic and Volkswagen Classic Parts started the 2014 vintage car year together at the Bremen Classic Motorshow. Porsche Classic presented a Porsche 911 S from 1968. The Porsche 911 is the most successful and versatile Sports Car of all time and offers customers an unsurpassed combination of solidity, reliability, high performance, image, and design. All our competitors used the Porsche 911 as a benchmark for performance and day-to-day usability. The VW Classic Parts exhibition this year focused on the theme “30 years of the Scirocco”. A Volkswagen Scirocco GT from 1976 was shown on the stand.
Over the weekend, Porsche Classic experts were on hand with practical advice and support for visitors to the show and provided information about the wide availability of Porsche Classic genuine spare parts. The inclusion of the Porsche 911, type 996 and Porsche Boxster, type 986 in the supported model lines from 01.01.2014 means that 52,000 genuine parts in total are currently available for Classic vehicles across all Porsche Centers worldwide.
