At Slush, Porsche is showing a virtual reality model of the Mission E – the concept vehicle of Porsche's first all-electric sports car. Together with the start-up ZeroLight, Porsche enables Slush participants to sit in the virtual driver's seat of the Mission E and experience the vision of the digital cockpit live.

Porsche NEXT OI Competition.

Together with the start-up High Mobility, an open competition for digital development will start in February 2018. There is a demand for applications relating to the vision of the sports car of the future. Developers can use app mock-ups in a protected environment to build their own applications and then present and test them virtually using a vehicle emulator. Infotainment, navigation, parking applications and chassis all play a role here. The competition is open to all interested parties worldwide and is aimed in particular at freelance developers, start-ups and students – but also at internal Porsche developers who are invited to take part outside their own area of responsibility. Further information and access to registration can be found at www.porsche-next-oi-competition.com.

The series version of the electric sports car will arrive at the end of the decade.

Porsche's first purely electrically powered sports car is due to be launched on the market at the end of the decade. Key data: The goal is system performance of 600 hp, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and a range of more than 500 km. The charging time should be about 15 minutes to recharge 80% of the maximum range.
