Questions on the contents of the training courses
What training levels are on offer and how do they build on each other?
The training programme of the Porsche Sport Driving School breaks down into the training levels Warm-up and Precision (introductory training courses) and, building on these basic courses, Performance and Master (licensed training course of DMSB e.V.). It should be noted that participation in the Precision training course is a prerequisite for admission to the Performance course and that the Performance course must be completed before taking the Master training course. The scope of training on offer is rounded off by various „Specials“, such as the g-Force Drift Training and the Telemetric Session, Women Only and the Track Day.
What is the difference between the Warm-up and the Precision training?
On the Warm-up training course (one-day course), participants learn the basics of driving safety and how to control their vehicle. It is to be noted that the Warm-up course consists purely of section training, without free driving. The Precision training (two-day course) covers the contents of the Warm-up course on the first day, while the second day includes additional sections as well as guided and free driving.
What options are available for people wishing to begin training?
Persons wishing to participate in training at the Porsche Sport Driving School for the first time can begin with the one-day Warm-up course or the two-day Precision course. It is to be noted in this connection that the Warm-up course is not a prerequisite for participation in the next-highest training levels. The Precision course is a prerequisite for subsequent admission to the Performance course, however. Persons with previous training experience can complete the Telemetric or g-Force Specials to qualify for the Master course.
Is it possible to gain direct admission to the Performance or Master training levels?
Drivers who have already attended various training measures at other establishments, thereby acquiring a basic knowledge of correct vehicle handling, can gain direct admission to the higher training levels. To this end, the Porsche Sport Driving School requires records of the attended training courses, with an official list of the items covered in this training. If the contents of the completed training courses correspond to the learning objectives and standards of the Porsche Sport Driving School, the participant concerned can gain direct admission to the Performance training level, following consultation with the project directors. Direct admission to the Master training course is possible in exceptional cases only.
Are there any age restrictions on eligibility for the training?
Participants must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driving licence.
