Lease-end FAQ
What are my options at lease-end?

Restart.

You may begin a new lease on another Porsche vehicle with Porsche Financial Services, which offers flexible terms and mileage options on new and Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned Porsche models up to five model years old. Contact your Porsche Center for details on our Payment Waiver and Excess Wear Waiver Loyalty Programs.

Re-lease.

You may wish to re-lease your current Porsche vehicle for another term. However, not all vehicles are eligible for re-lease. Contact your authorized Porsche Center for details.

Retain.

If you choose to purchase your vehicle, you may obtain a payoff by contacting an authorized Porsche Center. The payoff documents will include an odometer statement which will need to be filled out and emailed to pfs.customerservice@porsche.com. This will ensure that we are able to release your title.

Return.

You may return your vehicle to your local Porsche Center on or before your lease maturity date. Please note, all contractual payments will need to be satisfied upon return.

Will Porsche Financial Services contact me before the end of my lease?

You will receive several communications from Porsche Financial Services beginning at least 210 days before your lease-end date explaining all your options. Around 60 days before your lease maturity date, a Lease-end Specialist will assist you with scheduling the recommended complimentary pre-inspection and can answer any questions. Porsche Financial Services is here to guide you through each step.

Can I pay the charges on my lease-end statement with a credit card?

Personal debit cards and bank account information can be used to pay your lease-end bill. Credit cards are not accepted at this time.

Vehicle Inspection

Is the complimentary vehicle pre-inspection required?

The complimentary pre-inspection is not required, but we do recommend that you take advantage of this inspection as it provides awareness of any necessary repairs that will need to be made prior to your lease-end date to avoid excess wear charges. Please note, repairs must be performed by an authorized Porsche Center. Prior to returning your vehicle you will also want to submit any repair receipts to pfs.remarketing@porsche.us.

How do I schedule my pre-inspection?

You may schedule your pre-inspection at www.AutoVlNLive.com, our third-party inspection provider, or by calling 1-800-PORSCHE. One of our Porsche Lease-end Specialists will also call you to schedule your appointment around 60 days prior to your lease-end maturity date.

Can I assess billable excess wear on my own?

While scheduling a complimentary pre-inspection is the most accurate way to determine billable excess wear, you can check vehicle damage anytime. Review the Excess Wear Guidelines to learn how.

Can my Porsche Center perform the final inspection on my vehicle?

The dealer cannot determine any excess wear on your vehicle. All inspections are completed by AutoVIN, our third-party inspection provider.

Vehicle Return

What do I need to do to return my vehicle at lease-end?

Contact your authorized Porsche Center 30 days prior to your lease maturity date to schedule your lease-end vehicle return.

What if I have made after market modifications to my leased Porsche vehicle?

Any after-market modifications will need to be removed or reversed, and the vehicle will need to be returned to its original condition at the time of lease origination.
Any after-market modifications left on the vehicle at return are subject to charge.

Do I return my license plates when I turn in my vehicle?

If you are a resident of New Jersey, Connecticut, or Massachusetts, please be aware that we will require a plate return receipt after the return of your vehicle. Be sure to verify with your returning dealer if they will be turning in your plates and remitting a plate return receipt on your behalf.

What should I bring with me when returning my Porsche vehicle?

Please bring both key fobs, the owner’s manual, and all removable options and accessories.

Potential Charges

What charges will be on my final lease-end statement once I have returned my Porsche?

Your statement will include charges for any excess wear that was not repaired prior to return, any excess mileage charge, any property tax charge, any fees remaining on the account at the time of return (e.g. late fees, citations, etc.), and any disposition fee.

What does the disposition fee cover?

The disposition fee covers reconditioning the vehicle, transportation costs, any associated auction fees, and fees to inspect the vehicle.

What does Porsche Financial Services consider excess wear?

The preferred and most accurate way to determine your excess wear charges is to schedule a complimentary pre-inspection with AutoVIN. You may schedule your inspection at www.AutoVlNLive.com or by calling 1-800-PORSCHE. Reference your lease agreement for additional details regarding excess wear.

What if I have exceeded allotted total mileage?

You will be charged any mileage in excess of the total mileage agreed to at lease signing. The best place to find detailed information regarding mileage charges is your lease agreement.
