Stuttgart. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG Stuttgart, did well in a difficult market environment in the USA and Canada in February 2009. While 1,622 vehicles were delivered, the number of deliveries to customers in North America was 12 percent below the previous year's value; of that number, 1,518 vehicles were sold in the USA and 104 vehicles in Canada. With an increase of 124 percent and 291 cars sold, the new Boxster was parti-
cularly successful in the period under review. All in all, the Boxster and Cayman mid-engine sports cars increased by 42 percent to 528 units; 237 of those sold were the Cayman. The second generation of the Boxster / Cayman models with their even more powerful and, at the same time, more fuel efficient engines were launched on the North American market in February.

During the reporting month, 617 units from the 911 model were de-
livered, six percent less than in February of the previous year. Com-
pared to last month, this actually represents an increase of 33 percent. This development shows that the new 911 has been very well received by North American customers. The deliveries of the Cayenne model went down by 41 percent to 477 vehicles sold.
