Shanghai/Beijing. The 18th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China 2024) is about to kick off. With the theme of “Driving to Smart Mobility,” the event is designed to reveal the latest trends in future automotive development. Porsche will have a unique, immersive, and artistic booth themed “Cyber Jungle” at the event. The brand-new booth provides a comprehensive sensory experience by combining both digital and real worlds and featuring a range of lifelike designs. With bamboo, willows, and spring elements, the immersive booth bridges the gap between the real and virtual worlds, demonstrating a unique artistic style that is never seen before.

The exhibition cars form a perfect combination with the green plants and the “dragon and tiger” themed artistic setting, conveying the confident, dynamic, and unique cultural connotation and showing the individual and ultimate fascination with sports cars. Porsche puts its cutting-edge technologies of the electrification era into the new all-electric Macan. New Taycan derivatives, tailor-made for the Chinese market, made their public debut with a wealth of sincere configurations, as well as a more convenient service experience, bringing a dignified and unique expression of individuality, highlighting Porsche's new proposition for the Chinese market in the era of electrified mobility.

The new all-electric Macan has its price revealed and will hit the market soon

The new all-electric Macan is performance-oriented and completely redeveloped based on the PPE platform. With its characteristic Porsche performance, progressive yet timeless design, long-distance range, and high everyday practicality, the new Macan is the perfect interpretation of an all-electric luxury sports SUV. The new all-electric Macan is the sportiest model in its segment. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with electronic damping control (standard in China) works with either steel-spring suspension or air suspension. Featuring two-valve technology, the system offers a wider spectrum between comfort and performance and more tangible differences among different driving programmes. The rear-axle steering (standard for Turbo), with a maximum steering angle of five degrees, reduces the turning diameter of the new Macan to just 11.1 metres and makes driving in urban traffic and manoeuvring extremely convenient. The electronically controlled Porsche Traction Management (ePTM) operates around five times faster than a conventional all-wheel drive system and can respond to slip within 10 milliseconds. In addition, the all-wheel drive distribution is dependent on the selected driving mode. Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus), an electronically controlled differential lock on the rear axle, also contributes to the traction, driving stability, and the lateral dynamics of the new Macan Turbo. Thanks to its particularly sporty seat position and low centre of gravity, as well as its impressive driving dynamics and steering precision, the new Macan delivers a real sports car feeling.

What’s more, the new all-electric Macan also comes with high efficiency mechanisms in power, charging, range, and energy recovery. With Overboost and Launch Control, the all-electric Macan 4 and Macan Turbo have a maximum output of 300 kW (408 PS) and 470 kW (639 PS), provide a maximum torque of 650 Nm and 1,130 Nm, and complete the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds and 3.3 seconds respectively. In addition, the lithium-ion power cell, which comes with a maximum capacity of 100 kWh, enables a range of up to 784 km (WLTP city). It’s worth noting that the entire all-electric Macan family offers high-performance fast charging at up to 270 kW, meaning that the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent within approximately 21 minutes. Up to 240 kW of energy can be recuperated via the electric motors while driving and the drag coefficient is as low as 0.25. These figures all indicate top-class E-Performance.

This circumvents the need for additional high costs and reduces the financial burden of lump-sum payments. Such a flexible, cost-effective, and choice-driven approach to vehicle usage resonates with the younger generation of consumers who have grown up amidst the Internet and digital landscape, with plans to include the all-electric Macan in the subscription service lineup in the future.
