With the apps and services from Connect, you can comfortably operate various vehicle functions from your living room. For example, you can control the charging process, check the state of charge of your battery or bring your all-electric Porsche to a comfortable temperature before you start your trip.

Have you connected your Porsche to your charger? Then you can start or stop the charging process at any time.

You can set preferred charging times for frequently visited places – such as your home or work. This ensures the minimum required charge level for your all-electric Porsche is available when you leave.

Where can I charge on the road?

The interactive Porsche Charging map provides you with an overview of all charging stations - in your surrounding area and while traveling. Simply select your desired location and we will show you where you can conveniently charge your electric vehicle on the road and at your destination.

Porsche Charging Service.

Simply charge. All new Porsche Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) have an inclusive period (up to three years)* for clients to charge at Electrify Canada sites via Porsche Charging Service in the My Porsche App. You can charge your car easily and conveniently when away from home along major highways and in major metro areas in Canada.

*Eligible Porsche BEVs offer up to three years of inclusive charging at Electrify Canada fast-charging stations. Inclusive charging means no cost charging for 30 minute intervals at a time, with a 1-hour gap in between each session. After 30 minutes, per-minute rates apply. This offer is available for all Taycan models from 2020 to 2024 and is valid upon activation of the Porsche Charging Service for three years from the date of the vehicle's first activation. Taycan models from 2025 model year and Macan Electic from 2024 model year are eligible for up to two years of inclusive charging.

Compatibility of the charging plugs with your electric vehicle.

Your electric vehicle is fitted with two charging sockets. In Canada, the Type 1 (J1772) charging plug is a standard for Alternating current (AC) charging stations. Fast charging direct current (DC) charging stations in Canada are equipped with CCS 1 connectors. DC speed charging stations in Canada have CCS 1 connectors as standard. The Porsche Taycan is compatible with both charging plugs.

This type of plug is used at alternating current charging stations. Since the battery of an electric vehicle can only accept direct current, this is converted to direct current in the vehicle during the charging process.

Which electrical sockets can I use to charge my Porsche?

You can charge your Porsche both at market-specific domestic and industrial electrical outlets. In order to charge with the greatest possible efficiency and shortest duration, it is recommended that you use an industrial electrical outlet.

Performing the online pre-checks (availability is country-dependent) will give you an initial overview of the specific situation in your own home.

A detailed analysis of your domestic infrastructure is created by an expert as part of the home check (availability is country-dependent). Further information is also available from your Porsche Centre.

I want to be able to charge my Porsche at home. How can I find out if that is possible?

Using the Online Pre-Check, which is available depending on the relevant country, the essential prerequisites for using Porsche charging equipment are checked in your home. The Online Pre-Check is free-of-charge and can be easily performed, e.g. from your couch.

In order to obtain more detailed information, you can have your Porsche Centre arrange a home check (availability is country-dependent) by an external service partner. During the home check, your electrical infrastructure is checked and details regarding the installation of the equipment at your home can be agreed.

How can I ensure that my Porsche is not completely discharged?

Normally, your vehicle will not discharge completely, instead it will inform you that the charge is low in good time. Pay attention to the instructions in the PCM and the instrument cluster.

In addition, your Porsche can suggest a route to a nearby charging point if the vehicle charge is low.

In everyday situations there are many options available to you to charge your Porsche, e.g. during breaks at fuel and service stations or while out shopping.

Can I connect the Porsche charging equipment to other energy management systems?

The charging equipment offered by Porsche is based on open standards. Compatibility with the energy management systems of third-party manufacturers can vary however, due to the sheer quantity of products available on the market.
