Porsche (China) Motors Limited to recall part of imported Macan, Panamera vehicle

Commencing from 14 August 2023, Porsche (China) Motors Limited will recall part of the imported Macan and Panamera vehicles manufactured from 29 April 2014 to 12 September 2022. The recall was filed by Porsche China to the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the Defective Automobile Products Recall Regulation and its implementation measures. The recall will affect a total of 51 vehicles.

On affected vehicles, the rear left and/or right seat belt screw connections may not have been tightened according to specifications. If this is the case, the screw connection functionality is not ensured and the seat belt attachment could loosen in an accident. As a result, seat belt retention would not be guaranteed, which could increase the risk of injury and pose a safety hazard.

Upon the recall taking effect, Porsche China will commission all authorised service centres nationwide to replace the affected seat belt end fitting screw connection on the rear left and/or right seat free of charge to avoid any consequential damage.

Porsche China will notify the relevant owners via registered mail, phone call, text message, etc. Affected users are encouraged to visit Porsche China's official website http://www.porsche.com/china or call the toll-free customer service centre hotline on 400 820 5911 to find out more information about this recall. Users can also visit the website of the Defective Product Administrative Centre of the State Administration for Market Regulation (www.dpac.org.cn, www.recall.org.cn), or its WeChat account (SAMRDPAC) for more information. In addition, users can also call the hotline of the Defective Product Administrative Centre of the State Administration for Market Regulation at 010-59799616 to report any problems in the implementation of the recall or submit defect evidence.
