Shanghai/Ordos. Porsche continues expanding in China with the opening of its first Porsche Centre in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on February 20. The 40th Porsche Centre in the country, the Porsche Centre Ordos is also the first new facility to open its doors in China in 2012. Ready to deliver the exceptional customer care and full range of premium cars that have become synonymous with the Porsche brand, the latest Porsche Centre in the North China region kicked off the new year with a grand opening ceremony attended by government officials, media and investors, as well as Porsche representatives and customers.
As the official entry of Porsche into Inner Mongolia, the Porsche Centre Ordos represents the deep confidence the marque holds in the outstanding growth prospects of both the booming city and the whole North China region. Ordos is one of the most prosperous cities in Mainland China and home to residents with the second-highest per-capita income in the whole country. With GDP growth more than twice as fast as the national average for the past decade, the city makes a fitting new home for Porsche as it continues in its efforts to keep pace with China’s growth. Growing alongside more and more local markets in 2012, the marque keeps working to provide all its loyal customers with its winning combination of world-class customer service and premium cars.
The new Porsche Centre Ordos maximises accessibility and customer convenience throughout the city. Its more-than 4,000 square-metre 4S complex houses a showroom and a 2,900 square-metre After Sales service centre that raise the bar for service capacity at 4S dealerships nationwide. And both the showroom and service centre will live up to the characteristic Porsche dedication to providing customers with unparalleled service and a comprehensive brand experience on every visit.
At the opening ceremony of the Porsche Centre Ordos, more than 120 guests gathered to get a first glimpse at the latest state-of-the-art addition to the Porsche China network. Representatives of the Ordos government, executives from the Shaanxi Sunfonda Automobile Co., Ltd., which invests in its third Porsche Centre with the opening in Ordos; and members of the media joined Mr. Helmut Broeker, Chief Executive Officer of Porsche China, and Mr. Michael Wang, General Manager of the Porsche Centre Ordos, at the gala event. Guests were greeted by the full line-up of premium Porsche cars, as well as a series of local performances that highlighted the traditional Mongolian culture native to the region. A grand fireworks display brought the evening to its climax, as guests toasted the start of another successful year for the marque in China.
“I am very proud to lead the team that opens the first Porsche Centre in both Ordos and Inner Mongolia,” said Mr. Wang. “This new home in Ordos for the Porsche owners and enthusiasts of Inner Mongolia will offer the very best in customer service and accessibility.” Mr. Broeker said, “The opening of this Porsche Centre is a testament to our many loyal customers in Ordos. We deeply value this market, which is why we first came here last year to host a new stop on the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia (PCCA). This year, we are very excited to be deepening our commitment with the opening of the Porsche Centre Ordos, and, of course, by coming back for the PCCA this summer. And as we enter a second decade on the Mainland, we are eager to continue expanding so we can offer Porsche enthusiasts all over the country the accessibility and attention that they deserve.”
