The technical certificate documents important production information and technical data about your vintage or classic car. The Porsche Classic Technical Certificate contains original vehicle data from the time of delivery, such as the invoice date, exterior and interior colours and material, and optional extras. Also included are engine and transmission numbers and types that are currently in the vehicle, and these are compared with original records. The technical condition of your classic car is also evaluated with a comprehensive check. This inspection includes checking various areas, such as the wheels and tyres, drive system and engine compartment, fluids, the exterior and the interior. In addition to the technical inspection, the certificate contains photos of the exterior and interior of your classic car. A detailed summary of the check carried out by Porsche Classic-trained technicians is also included in this document.

FAQs

What are the benefits of the Porsche Classic Technical Certificate?

Every classic Porsche car has a unique vehicle identification number (VIN), engine number, transmission number and much more individual information from when it was manufactured. This information can tell you a lot about your classic car and its history: When was it built? Where was it delivered to? Do the current engine and transmission numbers match those from when the car was manufactured?

It is possible that units in your classic car have been replaced over time or that the original information has been lost. There are few records documenting all of this key vehicle information. It is all the more difficult to find out the original vehicle data, which makes it all the more valuable.

By capturing and storing historical Porsche documents, Porsche Classic is able to provide a wide range of original information about your classic Porsche car. That is why we are pleased that we can now offer you the Porsche Classic Technical Certificate.
