Porsche once again records robust growth in North AmericaSignificant increases in Cayenne and 911 sales

Stuttgart. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, based in Stuttgart, is continuing to grow at a fast pace on the North American market. Despite the difficult market environment, the premium sports car manufacturer delivered 3,018 vehicles to customers in October 2007, exceeding the equivalent previous year’s sales of 2,487 units by 21 percent. For the second month in a row Porsche was thus able to achieve growth well into double figures on its most important sales market. In September deliveries in the USA and Canada also increased by 20 percent.

This review month it was once again clear that the new Cayenne, with a reduced fuel consumption engine, has been very well received among Porsche customers. In comparison with the same month the previous year, deliveries of the sporty SUV increased by 45 percent to 1,263 units. Models from the 911 series also continue to guarantee sales success for Porsche on the North American market. In October, 911 sales reached 1,017 units, a 38 percent increase on the previous year. Deliveries of models in the Boxster series were down 16 percent to 738 vehicles, with the Cayman and Cayman S accounting for 404 units of this total.
