September sees double-digit growth for Porsche in North America911 and new Cayenne ensure a further record month

Stuttgart. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG of Stuttgart, Germany, keeps the success story alive in North America. In a tough market environment, the manufacturer of sporty premium cars managed, with 2,801 deliveries to customers in September 2007, to surpass the previous year’s
2,339 units by 20 percent on its most important sales market. The upward trend in the USA and Canada shown in 911 sales for the past months accelerated with the launch of the new Cayenne. September was the fourth record month since the introduction of the Cayenne. Previously, the North American figures for May, June and July had all been the highest for the respective months in the history of the company.

In the reporting year, the number of new Cayenne vehicles delivered in North America rose by 30 percent on the previous year, to 1,038. The sports-car series are still very popular with customers in the USA and Canada too. 911 sales rose by 35 percent to 1,051 units in September 2007. Deliveries of the Boxster series decreased by seven percent to
712 vehicles. A total of 469 units went to the Cayman and Cayman S.
