Luschkov, Mayor of Moscow, visits PorscheRussian delegation gets up to speed in Zuffenhausen

Stuttgart. Prominent visit from Russia at Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart: together with his wife Yelena Baturina and a high-ranking delegation, Moscow Mayor Juri M. Luschkov recently visited the automobile manufacturer’s main site in Zuffenhausen. The Russian group, which also included Yuri Roslyak, Luschkov’s Deputy Mayor, and Yevgeni Panteleyev, Minister of the Moscow Government, was welcomed by Dr. Wendelin Wiedeking, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG.

During his four-hour visit, Luschkov learnt, amongst other things, about current projects in the Porsche training workshop. A fan of sports cars, Luschkov also had a look at the historic vehicles in the plant museum. At the center of talks with Dr. Wiedeking were the new 7,300-square-meter headquarters of the Porsche Russia GmbH subsidiary, which are to open in Moscow on September 8. At the same time, the Russian capital, home to 15 million residents, will gain a new Porsche Center with vehicle sales and service facilities. It is to serve as a pilot project for all Porsche Centers in Russia.

Wiedeking said, “Moscow is the most important, pioneering economic metropolis in the Russian Federation. Thanks to outstanding cooperation with the city and its government, we have managed to extend our sales network in Russia from 10 to 16 Porsche Centers within a year.”
