Porsche Consulting forms subsidiary in ItalyRenowned companies as customers – market with considerable potential

Stuttgart/Milan. Porsche Consulting GmbH is expanding abroad for the first time. The consulting company of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, now one of the 25 largest consulting companies in Germany, has
had its own subsidiary in Italy since November 15, 2006.
Porsche Consulting Italia S.r.l. will initially employ ten people at its headquarters in Milan.

Eberhard Weiblen, Managing Director of Porsche Consulting said: "In recent years, we have successfully advised a number of renowned companies in Italy and feel that this market still has considerable potential. This is why it will be an advantage for us to be even closer to our customers, so that we can react to their needs quickly and flexibly." Weiblen's goal is to generate around ten percent of sales in the Italian market in future.

To help achieve this, he is trusting in the pull of the Porsche name: "In Italy, a country passionate about racing, our name naturally carries a special weight. Many Italians admire not just our sports cars, but also the processes and methods with which we develop and produce them." He also considers his company's highly practical approach to be its main advantage: "We are the only consulting company that exclusively uses methods that have already been proven successful in the company itself."

Porsche Consulting's customers include renowned Italian companies from the aviation and commercial vehicle industries, automotive suppliers and Italian subsidiaries of German corporations.

Porsche Consulting was formed in 1994 following the successful restructuring process at Porsche AG and pursues an underlying vision of being a streamlined, waste-free company. An outstanding feature of its consultants is their highly practical approach, which produces tangible improvements for its customers within a very short timeframe.

In fiscal 2005/06 (July 31), Porsche Consulting employed 135 people and generated sales of EUR 31.9 million.
