The new 911 Carrera Cabriolet at the dealers from SaturdayPure and elegant design, Outstanding driving dynamics and agility

Stuttgart. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is continuing its model campaign. For the first time on the coming Saturday, April 2, it will be possible to experience live the two new variants of the 911 Carrera cabriolet at all the 85 German Porsche centers. As with the Coupé, those interested can choose between the 239 kW (325 HP) Carrera model with 3.6-liter Boxer engine and the Carrera S with 3.8-liter engine and 261 kW (355 HP). The series equipment has been extended to include larger wheels, a windbreak, Porsche Stability Management (PSM) and Porsche Communication Management (PCM).

After Porsche posted a new record for new registrations in Germany in the 2004 calendar year, Bernhard Maier, Managing Director at Porsche Deutschland GmbH, is confident of being able to improve the sales figures further with the new 911 variants: "Even though our customers only know the 911 from test reports, there has been enormous interest. We are convinced that the new cabriolet with its striking design and the outstanding driving agility will give our German business new momentum."

The two open 911 variants achieve exactly the same top speed as the coupés – 285 km/h and 293 km/h. With the 3.6-liter engine, the open Carrera races from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, while the Carrera S Cabriolet needs 4.9 seconds. In Germany, the prices are EUR 85,176 for the Carrera Cabriolet and EUR 95,152 for the Carrera S Cabriolet (including sales tax).
