Stuttgart sports car manufacturer offers Porsche Engineering AwardAward for best dissertations in Mechanical Engineering at Prague Technical University

Stuttgart/Prague. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is offering a prize for future engineers at the Technical University of Prague. Every year from 2006 onwards, the three best dissertations written by students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering on a subject decided by Porsche will win the Porsche Engineering Award. The winner will also be offered a doctoral position at Porsche Engineering Services s.r.o. (PES) in Prague. Professor Petr Zuna, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Prague, today received a letter to this effect from Wolfgang Dürheimer, Member of the Management Board responsible for Research and Development at Porsche AG.

The aim of the Porsche Engineering Award, which will be presented for the first time in February 2006, is to further strengthen relations between Porsche and the Technical University of Prague. The two partners have already been working together in the area of technical analysis and simulation since 1996. In 2001, Porsche Engineering Services s.r.o. (PES) was founded with its head office in Prague. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Porsche Engineering Group GmbH in Weissach.
