When one is on the road with Paul, one hardly knows whether one would prefer to talk about golf or Porsche. Or both? It's probably the best anyway. "A poster of a silver Porsche 959 hung in my bedroom," he says to tie into the story of his - first - childhood dream of becoming a race-car driver. "There are manufacturers that make only one cool model. But at Porsche every car in the entire product range has a distinctive character."
Porsche Flyline / flight path; thoughts wander easily from one topic to another when one is on the road with Paul Casey. And the nice thing is that we will be chatting to him about Porsche and golf far more often in the future.
Fully focussed on the challenge
The second childhood dream of becoming a golf pro.
Two lifetime dreams united symbolically.
As a sign of the mutual bond, Paul has been carrying the Porsche logo on his bag since the 2020 US Open in late summer. His constant companion at tournaments, it contains the golf pro's most important instruments. With the bag, Porsche is so to say always at Paul's side in the most important moments - if that is one can't drive onto the green in a Porsche.
