To push forward the digital transformation process, Porsche and its subsidiary MHP have operated their own innovation laboratory – the Porsche Digital Lab – in the middle of Berlin’s trendy borough of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg since September 2016. The Lab identifies and tests the information technologies of the future from its location right on the banks of the Spree. A team of technology and software experts, as well as scientists, focus on the question of how Porsche can take innovations from the fields of big data and machine learning, micro services and cloud technologies, Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things, and turn them into practical solutions. Their tasks range from trend scouting and ideation to building IT prototypes.
Focus on networking
The work at the Porsche Digital Lab demands creativity and contact with innovative technology companies, start-ups and scientific institutions. This makes Berlin the ideal location. The Lab is open to new sources of inspiration, as well as collaborations with IT start-ups and scientific institutions who work in the fields of big data and machine learning, micro services and cloud technologies, Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things.
