We collect and retain the responses you provide to our Market Research questions.
Data we collect and retain when you use Porsche Home Charging Equipment (“Data”) may include:
Contact information such as name, postal address, e-mail address or telephone number;
Device information such as device identification, device type, device status, diagnostic and error codes, and software version;
Information on charging processes (charging history information, connection status and time stamp of the last communication establishment); and
Information about the beginning, end and extent of use as well as the IP address of the charging equipment.
We collect and use the information for the following purposes:
Ensuring that your Porsche charging equipment is communicative and up-to-date;
Support: troubleshooting and elimination of faults in your charging equipment; and
Improving product quality, including through the analysis of loading equipment data and customer feedback.
Please note that in some charging equipment (e.g. Mobile Charger Connect) you can actively switch data transmission on or off for the purposes mentioned above.
To ensure that your charging equipment is always up to date and that we can provide you with optimal support in the event of a support event, some charging equipment (e.g. Porsche Inductive Charging Plate) sends diagnostic and charging process data continuously and immediately after installation (you can find more about this in the operating instructions of the respective charging equipment). Data transfer for these purposes includes, for example, the following information:
Unique ID of the device;
Technical status values at a certain point in time;
Diagnostic codes;
Software and hardware versions; and
Charging history information.
The use of the home charging equipment is generally possible with or without a link to your Porsche ID account. However, the use of individual functions may require a prior link to your Porsche ID account. If you would like to use other optional functions in the My Porsche mobile app for the Porsche charging equipment, it is necessary to link your Porsche charging equipment to your Porsche ID account. As part of the use of these functions, the following personal and device-specific data in particular may be transmitted to Porsche:
Customer identification (Porsche ID or the device serial number);
Charging statistics;
Charging history information;
Status (of the device as well as the charging process);
Connection status; and
Timestamp of the last communication setup.
