Striking design: the unmistakable silhouette with the flyline typical of a mid-mounted engine. A broad rear with black accent trim. The cockpit is fully sports-orientated.

Exterior Front.

The horizontal geometry of the air intakes makes the front end appear even wider – lending it added bite. On the 718 GTS 4.0 models, this impression is further enhanced by the larger air intakes, black external airblades and black front spoiler. The fenders? Unmistakably Porsche. Higher than the hood, they have been styled to give prominence to the design of the headlights, with impressive inner workings and integrated LED daytime running lights. The 718 GTS 4.0 models have tinted front lights.

Side air intakes.

The side profile emphasises the mid-engine layout. The wheel openings are large – for wheels up to 20 inches. This highlights the fact that the 718 models are not built for the garage. But for unrestrained driving pleasure. It is only logical that the lines on the doors direct the airflow into the large side air intakes. To optimally supply the engines with air and produce powerful thrust.

Exterior Rear.

The rear of the 718 models is an expression of maximum sporting performance – and also the top performance of our designers. It is clear, reduced, and anything but conformist. The taillights are flat and also clear in the 718 GTS 4.0 models. Their interior is of a three-dimensional design. Four LED brake lights surround the horizontal taillights. An accent trim between the two taillights makes the rear end look wide.

The wing above automatically extends from speeds of 125 km/h, and reduces lift for better traction. Powerful reinforcement: the tailpipe, centrally arranged in the rear apron, which is designed as a twin tailpipe in the 718 Style Edition and 718 S models. In the 718 GTS 4.0 models, the tailpipes are separated in the rear apron unique to the GTS 4.0."

Wheels.

The 718 Boxster and Cayman models have 18-inch wheels – with a distinctive design. The S models feature 19-inch wheels, the 718 Style Edition and 718 GTS 4.0 models feature 20-inch wheels. All 718 models are on alloy wheels – as is typical of sports cars. The wide rear wheels ensure high stability and high cornering performance. Rolling resistance and tyre weight are comparatively low, which helps reduce fuel consumption. Tyre Pressure Monitoring (TPM) improves safety. A selection of 20-inch wheels is available in our individual options.

Interior.

Intuitive handling, performance-oriented ergonomics, a clean design. The interior of the 718 models is also fully geared towards sporty performance.

Centre console.

A strong emphasis on the horizontal gives the dashboard design of the 718 models a striking appearance. Without sacrificing the excellent ergonomics for which Porsche is renowned: the ascending centre console shortens the reach between the steering wheel and gear lever/selector, while the clear arrangement of function buttons saves time.

PCM with Touch Display.

Porsche Communication Management (PCM) is your central control mechanism for audio and communication. With its high-quality glass surface, the 7-inch touch display blends perfectly into the centre console.

Sport steering wheel.

Pure motor sports: the sports steering wheel — which was derived from the 918 Spyder. The optional GT sports steering wheel with its smaller diameter further enhances the cockpit feel. In the 718 GTS 4.0 models it is part of the standard equipment, and is made of Race-Tex along with numerous other GTS-specific interior features. The instrument cluster is comprised of three round instruments with an integrated 4.6-inch colour screen. The rev counter positioned in the centre is typical of Porsche.

718 Models

Fast, powerful, quick-witted. Unequivocally a boxer.

Engine.

The 2.0-litre turbocharged horizontally opposed engine.

A 2.0-litre turbo flat engine with direct fuel injection (DFI), VarioCam Plus and integrated dry-sump lubrication is used in the 718 and 718 T Style Edition. It produces 220 kW (300 brake horsepower) at 6,500 rpm, max. torque: 380 Nm. With Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK), the 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, with a top speed of 275 km/h.

The 2.5-litre turbocharged horizontally opposed engine.

The S models have a 2.5-litre displacement. The result is 350 hp at 6,500 rpm. Maximum torque: 309 lb-ft. This unit – like the one in the 911 Turbo – also comes equipped with Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG). It ensures a smoother unleashing of power and therefore increased driving pleasure. Its thrust? Goes up to 285 km/h. With PDK and Launch Control, the S models sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds.

The 4.0-litre six-cylinder naturally aspirated engine.

The 718 GTS 4.0 models offer an enormous performance spectrum. Guaranteed by the powerful 4.0-litre six-cylinder naturally aspirated engine with its full 394 hp at 7,000 rpm. The maximum torque: 309 lb-ft. Top track speed: 293 km/h.

Transmission.

The 718 models are equipped with a smooth 6-speed manual transmission optimally matched to the respective engine characteristics.

The 7-speed PDK with manual and automatic mode is available as an option. For extremely fast gear changes without interrupting the flow of power. And all with even better acceleration performance. In manual mode, the shift direction simulates that of race cars – to the rear to shift up, forwards to shift down. For a race track driving experience wherever you are.

Chassis.

Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM).

The optional PASM is an electronic damping control system. The system continuously adjusts the damping force on each wheel, based on driving style and current road conditions. The body is also lowered by 10 mm (0.39 in). PASM has two modes, which can be selected using a button on the center console: ‘Normal’, which is a blend of performance and comfort, and ‘Sport’, where the setup is much firmer. The results are tangible: increased driving stability, improved comfort and enhanced performance.

PASM Sport Suspension.

The 718 GTS 4.0 models are equipped with the PASM sports chassis. The body is lowered by 20 mm. The springs are harder and shorter and the anti-roll bars on the front and rear axles are stiffer. The result: direct, agile handling and top cornering performance. For a little more ground clearance and comfort, the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with 10 mm lowering is available at no extra cost.

Porsche Stability Management (PSM).

All 718 models are equipped with enhanced Porsche Stability Management (PSM) – an automatic control system for maintaining stability at the limits of dynamic driving performance. PSM improves traction under acceleration on inconsistent road surfaces. The result is a high level of driving stability and safety – and extraordinary agility at the same time.

Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV).

Optional on the 718, 718 Style Edition and 718 S models, standard on the 718 GTS 4.0 models: Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV). The system for increasing driving dynamics and stability works with variable standard torque split on the rear wheels and a mechanical rear differential lock. What does this mean for you? Considerable lateral dynamic vehicle stability and exceptional traction. Great agility at any speed – with precise steering response and balanced load alteration behaviour. What else? Tremendous fun in bends.

Electromechanical power steering.

A direct steering system that lives up to its name. The direct steering ratio ensures agile turn-in and a sporty driving experience – with the usual high level of comfort. The comfort-orientated Power steering Plus is available as an option.

Sport button.

The Sport button enables you to select a suspension set-up where the emphasis is on either comfort or sporty performance. At the push of a button, the engine dynamics become even more direct. In addition, the Sport Exhaust System is automatically activated. In vehicles with Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK), upshifts take place at higher engine speeds and downshifts happen sooner.

Sport Chrono Package.

The Sport Chrono Package is standard in the 718 GTS 4.0 models and optionally available for the other 718 models. It allows an even sportier tuning of the chassis, engine and gearbox. And launches you to unprecedented sporty heights. The mode switch on the steering wheel, which is derived from the 918 Spyder, plays a big part here. Without having to take your hand completely off the steering wheel, you can choose between 4 settings: Normal, Sport, Sport Plus and the Individual mode, with which you can adapt the vehicle even more individually to your driving style.

Brakes.

Performance counts in sport. True for the engine. True for the brakes. That’s why the 718, 718 Style Edition and 718 S models are equipped with four-piston aluminium monobloc fixed callipers. The brake callipers are Black on the 718 Boxster, 718 Cayman and 718 Style Edition models, and Red on the S and GTS 4.0 models. The brake discs have a diameter of 330 mm at the front and 299 mm at the rear. The brake system on the 718 S models are reinforced on the front axle.

In the 718 GTS 4.0 models the brakes were further reinforced and adapted to the high performance: the front axle is equipped with six-piston aluminum brakes monobloc fixed brake calipers in red. The brake discs have a diameter of 350 mm at the front and 330 mm at the rear. To make them tougher yet lighter and enable a more rapid response – even under extreme loads – the brake calipers have an enclosed monobloc construction. The pedal travel is short and the biting point precise. The brake discs are crossdrilled and internally vented, which helps to provide improved wet braking and optimum cooling.

Porsche Entry & Drive.¹

With optional Porsche Entry & Drive, you can leave your car key in your pocket. As soon as you grab the door handle, or your hand nears the Crest on the front luggage compartment lid or the logos on the rear, Porsche Entry & Drive checks the access code stored in the key. If this is correct, the door or luggage compartment lid unlocks. The engine can then be started and switched off using the electronic ignition starter switch.

¹ The Porsche Entry & Drive system uses state-of-the-art technology. However, it cannot be completely ruled out that the key’s wireless encryption code is intercepted and used to open or steal the vehicle.

Steering wheels.

The Sport Steering Wheel with three-spoke design is lightweight and functional. The small centre pad and the decorative ring encircling the Porsche Crest – both derived from the steering wheel of the 918 Spyder – reinforce its sporty character. In conjunction with PDK, the sport steering wheel features two alloyed gearshift paddles offering particularly short shift throws.

The optional GT sports steering wheel has a smaller diameter. The spokes are finished in Black, the Silver-colored inlays are screw-fastened. For a motor sports derived look? Definitely. Above all, though, to emulate a motor sports driving feel. Included as standard in the 718 GTS 4.0 models. And covered with the motor sports proven Race-Tex. Available as an option on all steering wheels and standard on 718 Style Edition models: heated steering wheel and multi-function. These give you convenient access to the 4.6-inch color display, the on-board computer and many audio, phone and navigation functions.

Seats.

Sport Seats.

The Sport Seats are comfortable and provide support during dynamic cornering. They are equipped with electric backrest adjustment and mechanical fore/aft and height adjustment.

Power Sport Seats.

Comfort doesn’t have to be sacrificed. Neither does a sporty driving feel. The optional Power Sport Seats with driver memory package allow you to adjust the seat height, backrest angle, cushion angle and cushion depth. Also electrically operated are the fore/aft adjustment, four-way lumbar support.

Sport Seats Plus.

The sports seats Plus in leather with electric backrest adjustment and mechanical fore/aft and height adjustment are optionally available for the 718, 718 Style Edition and 718 S models. These are part of the standard interior in the 718 GTS 4.0 models. The side bolsters on the seat cushion and backrest have firmer, sportier padding, offering even better lateral support. In the 718 GTS 4.0 models the seat centers are in Race-Tex.

Adaptive Sport Seats Plus.

Available on request, adaptive Sport Seats Plus reinforce the connection between sport and comfort. As an upgraded version of the Sport Seats Plus, they combine all the features of the Power Sport Seats and add power adjustment of the side bolsters on the cushion and backrest.

Full Bucket Seats.²

Available as an option for the 718 GTS 4.0 models: full bucket seats made completely of carbon-fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) with a carbon-weave finish. They offer particularly good lateral support at minimal weight. The fore/aft adjustment is manual, the height adjustment electric.

Sound systems.

Burmester® High-End Surround Sound System.

The road is perhaps the only place in the world where you can still listen to music without being disturbed. And when it’s done, it should be done right – together with the major manufacturer of premium quality sound systems in Germany. The result is a sound performance of the highest level, specially matched to your 718 Boxster or 718 Cayman.

BOSE® Surround Sound System.

Specially designed for Porsche and optimally adapted to the specific interior acoustic of the 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman: the optional surround sound system from BOSE®. In short: you’re always at the heart of things in the 718 models.

Sound Package Plus.

Sound Package Plus delivers excellent sound. It comprises six loudspeakers and a total output of 110 watts in the 718 Boxster and eight loudspeakers with 150 watts in the 718 Cayman. The amplifier integrated into PCM optimally adapts the interior acoustics to the driver and passenger.

Navigation.

Thanks to Real-time Traffic Information you’ll always be on the fastest route. As a component of the navigation and infotainment services, online navigation has the advantage of accessing map material which is updated daily, while at the same time taking into account all the relevant traffic reports in real time. Route planning via Porsche Communication Management (PCM), however, does not require a data connection and is available at all times.

Finder.

Regardless of whether you’re discovering new places with your Porsche or exploring your local neighborhood. All the information about points of interest, such as restaurants, gas stations and hotels, is directly accessible using the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) Finder. An addition to the address and contact details, reviews by other visitors are also displayed, provided that a data connection has been established.

Apple CarPlay.

With Porsche Connect you can use numerous apps on your iPhone via Porsche Communication Management (PCM). With the connection via Apple CarPlay, apps such as phone, music or news, can be operated easily and safely while on the move.

Bi-Xenon™ Headlights.

Rain. Fog. Night. A true athlete doesn’t let that stop them. That's why all 718 models come with Bi-Xenon™ Headlights including Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) with integrated daytime running lights in LED technology.

Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS).

The Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), which includes expressive four-point daytime running lights, headlight cleaning system and dynamic range control, is available as an option. The dynamic cornering light function swivels the headlights towards the inside of a bend, so as to light up more of the road at tight bends and turns. In short: the road ahead is illuminated the moment you start to corner.

LED Headlights including Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS).

Superior safety meets sporty design in the form of optional LED headlights including PDLS. Optimum visibility is assured by integrated fourpoint daytime running lights and the headlight cleaning system.

Assistance systems.

Automatic Cruise Control (ACC).

Available as an option in conjunction with Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK), this system regulates the speed of your 718 fully independently based on the distance from the vehicle in front. Radar sensors in the front fascia scan the road ahead.

Lane Change Assist (LCA).

Optional Lane Change Assist (LCA) uses radarbased technology to monitor the area behind the vehicle and blind spots. The system issues a visual warning signal in the window triangle trims whenever a vehicle approaches your vehicle from behind or enters one of your blind spots.

ParkAssist (front and rear) including reversing camera.

Standard ParkAssist audibly alerts the driver to the presence of obstacles detected behind the vehicle. The reversing camera facilitates precise reverse parking and maneuvering. Help is provided in the form of a camera image and dynamic guidelines on the PCM screen.

Sportmade.

Traditional colour range.

The 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman have long been mid-engine icons and as such, they enjoy a status similar to the Porsche colour palette, which has always been distinctive. Perhaps one of the most expressive colours, Ruby Star, originally known as Rubystone Red, which caused a stir in the 90’s on the 911 Carrera RS 3.6 (964), inspired us to come up with the new optional Ruby Star Neo exterior colour.

The exterior colour forms an extraordinary duo together with the White Contrast Package. A strong colour tone meets White details: the "PORSCHE" decorative side logo, the sporty decorative strips on the bonnet and the model logo on the rear. The 20-inch 718 Spyder wheels, painted in White (high-gloss), set the right tone for hitting the road.

Contrasting styles.

The Black Contrast Package also offers a clear, sporty style when used, for example, in conjunction with the Arctic Grey exterior colour.

Black stainless steel sports tailpipes with high-gloss finish.

Style-defining.

The 718 Boxster Style Edition's all-electric fabric hood carries the embossed "Boxster" signature, visible both when open and closed. The soft top can be opened and closed in just 12 seconds at speeds of up to 50 km/h – and is available in either Black or Red.

Interior.

The extended standard equipment of the 718 Style Edition also applies to the stylish interior. The contrasting seams in Chalk set subtle accents in tandem with the Black Leather Package, which upgrades the interior with additional leather on the dashboard, door handles and seats.

Additional interior upgrades include the illuminated stainless steel door sill guards, the floor mats with contrasting stitching in Chalk and the embossed Porsche crest on the headrests. Further leather packages in Black, Black-Burgundy and Black-Chalk are available on request.

Could it be something more? With the black leather upholstery specific to the Style Edition, the Chalk contrasting stitching emphasizes the extended leather features on the upper part of the dashboard and on the door panels, combined with eye-catching silver-coloured trim on the dashboard and doors. Alternative leather features in Black, Black-Burgundy and Black-Chalk are available on request.

Mid-engine concept.

Driving pleasure and everyday usability have always formed a close symbiosis at Porsche. Thanks to the mid-engine concept including a 2.0-litre turbo boxer engine with 300 HP, the 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman impress with their low centre of gravity, delivering particularly agile cornering behaviour.

In addition, there is enough space for two luggage compartments. And therefore a lot of creativity.

Comfort.

At Porsche, comfort and sportiness are not mutually exclusive. The 718 Style Edition models increase the sporty joy of every journey, thanks to a multifunction steering wheel that is also heated, seat heating, and two-zone automatic air-conditioning. The ParkAssist at the front and rear, including a reversing camera, also makes entering and leaving a parking space easier.

Highlights.

The stainless steel door sill guards with model logo illuminated in White means that getting into one of the 718 Style Edition models is an experience in itself.

Heated Sports Seats.

Welcome to the adrenaline-pumping comfort zone: Sports Seats feature electric backrest adjustment, manual height and longitudinal adjustment, three-stage adjustable seat heating and, for the 718 Style Edition models, an embossed Porsche crest on the headrests.

Optional Sports Seats.

The notion of the perfect seat is an entirely personal affair. That's why you can choose between fully electric Sports Seats with a memory package, Sports Seats Plus for even better lateral support and adaptive Sports Seats Plus with a memory package.

Apple CarPlay.

Connect your iPhone to your Porsche via Apple CarPlay and have certain apps shown directly on the central display of the PCM.
