Stuttgart. On November 2, 2006 Klaus Berning (49) will take over the Sales and Marketing Department of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG in Stuttgart. Originally from Lüdenscheid, Germany, the Supervisory Board appointed him to the Management Board on July 26. He succeeds

Before his move to Ludwigsburg, headquarters of the Porsche Sales & Marketing Department, Berning worked for BMW AG. In 1984, following vocational training with accompanying studies at KPMG Management Consultants, he joined the Controlling Department of the Bavarian car manufacturer. After spending time in the Netherlands, Italy and Munich, he was appointed President of BMW Ibérica in Madrid in 2002. Most recently, he has been in charge of BMW Sales in Asia, Pacific, Africa and Eastern Europe in his capacity as Senior Vice President.

On December 1, 2006 Thomas Edig (45) will join Porsche. He was also appointed to the Management Board by the Supervisory Board on July 26. In May 2007, he will take over management of the Personnel Department as well as the role of Labor Relations Director from Harro Harmel (64), who will then retire after 25 successful years at Porsche. Edig, who was born in Stuttgart, comes from Deutsche Telekom AG where his most recent position was as a member of the T-Com Management Board, where he was in charge of personnel and organization.
