Charge on your travels as easily and conveniently as you would at home: with the Porsche Charging Service. Integrated in to the My Porsche app, the Porsche Charging Service gives you access to a European-wide network with over 550,000 charge points without having to register with multiple charge point operators. In addition to using the My Porsche app, when you activate the Charging Service in the Connect Store, you will also be sent a Taycan Charging Card which can be used for accessing charge points on the service. For even greater convenience, use the Plug and Charge function at selected charge points. Thanks to intelligent communication between the vehicle and the charge point, the charging will start automatically without the need for using the app or card.

Charge your Porsche plug-in hybrid model on the road quickly and easily with the right products.

Compatibility of the charging plugs with your plug-in hybrid vehicle.

Porsche plug-in hybrid models are fitted with a Type 2 vehicle charge port which allows you to charge your vehicle using Alternating Current (AC) charge points. These charge points are used for charging at home and they can also be found in several public locations, such as shopping centres, hotels and gyms.

Type 2 connector

The Type 2 connector is found at most AC charge points. The majority of AC public charge points are untethered, so you will need to use the Mode 3 public charging cable included with the vehicle.

  • European standard for electric vehicles and AC charge points
  • Charging performance up to 11kW for Porsche plug-in hybrid models (dependent on the output of the charge point)
  • For use at home and AC public charge points

Are there legal framework conditions with which I must comply for the installation of domestic charging equipment?

The installation of domestic charging equipment can be considered a structural change.

We recommend that you use the Porsche recommended home installation partner and coordinate with all parties involved before installation; these might include, e.g., your electricity supplier, your municipal authorities or housing community and, if required, your landlord.

A detailed analysis of your domestic infrastructure is created by an expert as part of the home check. Further information is also available from your Porsche partner.

Can the specified charging times vary?

Yes, the charging time is influenced by several factors. These include:
- the available power rating of the energy infrastructure
- the passenger compartment preconditioning
- the charge state and the temperature of the high-voltage battery
- the settings that were activated on the charger or energy manager

When charging at home, the customer-specific domestic installation is also an important factor.

With AC charging, the power output of the on-board charger installed in the vehicle makes a real difference.

The charging times can therefore differ significantly from the specified values.
