Wouldn't it be fantastic to go on a world tour for a whole year with the Porsche Travel Experience? For most of us, with our busy lives, that’s an impossible dream. But the anniversary year of the Porsche Travel Experience presents us with another unique challenge – as yet, no one knows when travel will be possible again in 2021, when we can once again experience the world's most beautiful roads and destinations in a Porsche.

That’s why we want to offer you a very special experience in 2021 – to take you around the globe in 52 virtual stages, visiting many of the extraordinary destinations we have been to with our Porsche Travel Experience guests over the past 25 years. Get special insider tips from our incredible guides, ones that take you off the beaten track, visiting the places that help you see the world in a new light.

The success story began in 1996 with an idea and an advertisement

“Forget the remaining 359 days of the year for 7 days”

Wait – did we lose count there? Not in this instance. As a leap year, 1996 had one extra day. And this was the year that Porsche released a bold advertisement to promote the idea of setting out on unusual journeys, a reflection of the brand's positioning at the time as ‘The Excitement Company’. The Porsche Travel Club, as the offer was called then, was intended to further expand the Porsche experience beyond the existing sports driver school, the high-quality accessories and exclusive access to motorsport events. It was about offering people trips that allowed them to encounter the unusual with Porsche and Porsche vehicles – the sort of memorable experiences that you don’t come across in everyday life. A tour through the desert, for example. Or a flight in a MiG-29.

Once around the world with Porsche Travel Experience – an idea that fascinated from the very beginning

Over the next 25 years, the guests of the Porsche Travel Experience have gone on to enjoy some of the most beautiful and spectacular roads and routes in the world. Between South America, Australia, China, the USA, Canada, Russia and many European destinations, the travel and project managers of the Porsche Travel Experience are constantly on the lookout for more route highlights. Since the early days of the Porsche Travel Experience, it’s not just the destinations that have changed – so too have the travel habits and expectations of our Porsche Travel Experience guests, who now number in their thousands. But there is one thing that remains the same today as it ever was. A trip with Porsche Travel Experience is always an unforgettable experience, whether in the real world or virtually.
