Yogi comes from a long line of talented barbers – four generations in fact, all based in Cape Town. Cutting hair is in his blood and you’ll see him at the shop almost every day, chatting with guests, telling stories, and delivering shaves with skillful precision. Using old-fashioned techniques and timeless elegance, he gives a top-quality cut that would even make your grandfather proud.

Old school style

Every detail of the barbershop is classic perfection – from antique barbers' chairs, to the black and white checkerboard floor, to the handwritten sign at the front. Inside you’ll find old-school style perfectly coupled with the newest trends. Behind a glass display are old tools of the trade as well as model cars from the 1950s. This attention to detail not only applies to the decor but to the services as well. "Proper beard trimming is an art," says Yogi himself. And it’s an art he and his five employees take very seriously.

Get a hot towel or steam shave, a beard trim, a classic haircut, even eyebrow threading. The barbers use cut-throat razors around the hairline and temples for the cleanest cut possible. They finish off every shave with old American bay rum aftershave. No matter what the occasion, Yogi and his staff will perfect your look with classic elegance and treat you like a true gentleman.

You’ll find Yogis in the historic Bo-Kaap neighborhood of Cape Town, not far from several wine bars and restaurants. Colorfully-painted houses line the streets that slope to Yogi’s door. You could be serenaded by a duo of Spanish guitar players or hear a joke from the likes of world-famous comedian and TV host Trevor Noah, one of their many famous customers.
