From driving select guests to the event to teaming up with iconic magazine Vogue on a fashionable new collaboration, the new all-electric Macan made a splash at this year’s Met Gala as its official vehicle

This year’s celebration of fashion, the 2024 Met Gala, was all about style and glamour – and it was also a big moment for Porsche as the new all-electric Macan graced the red carpet as the event’s official vehicle. The Macan shone in its vibrant Provence colour, making its New York City debut one to remember.

The Met Gala collaboration saw Porsche seamlessly blending high fashion with luxury automotive. And, for some lucky guests, that meant enjoying the thrill of riding to and from the gala in the exciting new all-electric SUV.

The arrival of the all-electric Porsche Macan

Since its launch in early 2024, the all-electric Macan has been travelling across the world making public appearances. From its big reveal in Singapore in February to its market debut in China in April, its been turning heads with its sleek new look and signature design. But no matter how busy its travel schedule, the Macan couldn’t skip one of the biggest nights in the global fashion calendar, making a stunning entrance as the official vehicle of the 2024 Met Gala.

But the iconic style moments didn’t end there. Porsche is also working with Vogue to produce a branded content series entitled True Essence, with an episode featuring Catherine Holstein, Founder and Creative Director of Khaite. To round off the collaboration, Porsche will also make a meaningful financial contribution to The Costume Institute at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art to help further its incredible work in advancing fashion as an art form.

With all-electric sportscar performance, everyday usability and an advanced, high-tech interior, the Macan was the perfect pick as the official vehicle for the 2024 Met Gala. Select guests arrived in style at the 2024 Met Gala, being among some of the first to experience the next-level luxury and comfort of the dynamic new all-electric Macan as they made their way to and from the event.

The collaboration was a showcase of the synergy between the pioneering spirit of Porsche and the creative vibe of the Met Gala, hinting at a future where fashion and mobility come together in perfect harmony.
