Adrenaline at the push of a button, goosebumps included – the optional Sport Chrono Package with mode switch on the steering wheel. Its functions enable an even sportier tuning of the chassis, engine and transmission. Performance is always just a question of attitude.

Sporty tuning of the chassis and drive.

With the Sport Chrono Package and mode switch you can adjust the chassis and drive to suit yourself – without even taking your hands off the wheel. Choose between four settings using the mode switch: Normal, SPORT, SPORT PLUS and Individual.

Used in conjunction with Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK), the Sport Chrono Package has three additional features.

  1. Launch Control – for the best possible starting acceleration.
  2. Motorsport-derived gearshift strategy – for short shift times and optimum switching points.
  3. SPORT Response – the entire system switches to maximum throttle response for approx. twenty seconds.

The Sport Chrono Package is available as an option for various models in the 911 series, Macan, Cayenne, Panamera and 718 Boxster as well as the 718 Cayman.

More stability and thrilling dynamism at the same time.

PTV works with a precise application of the brakes on the rear wheels and a rear differential lock. The variable drive torque distribution and precise braking ensure greater agility and dynamic steering – and a lot of fun on the curves.

Anyone who loves curves drives a sports car.

With Torque Vectoring we’re making the relationship between the two even more intense. The optimum system helps increase driving dynamics and stability – especially on the curves.

The system works with a variable torque distribution on the rear wheels and an electronically regulated rear differential lock. For higher driving power and additional angular momentum on the outer rear wheel, the inner rear wheel also brakes if needed – for a direct and dynamic steering response.

You can feel the benefits of the system, not just on curves, but also on different road surfaces and conditions.

Porsche Torque Vectoring is available as an option for various models in the 911 series, Macan, Cayenne and 718 Boxster as well as 718 Cayman.

Along with suspension and damping, more than anything, anti-roll bars, as a third standard chassis component, define the handling characteristics. The optional PDCC with active roll stabilisation increases driving stability and comfort on any surface.

By means of actuators, active forces are generated on the anti-roll bars, and the lateral tilt of the vehicle can be almost completely neutralised. In the Cayenne, for example, depending on the steering and level of transverse acceleration, electric actuator motors on the front and rear axle, build up forces that counter the body roll. In the Panamera, depending on the transverse acceleration, the electromechanical actuator turns the anti-roll bar halves in opposing directions, with the result that body roll is almost completely neutralised. The 911 has actively adjustable hydraulic cylinders positioned directly on the wheel suspensions to save weight.

The Porsche active rear-axle steering improves agility on curves and stability when your sports car changes lane. The system artificially shortens the wheelbase to make the turning circle smaller, or extends the wheelbase to increase stability.

Smaller turning circle. Greater driving stability.

The Porsche active rear-axle steering increases the sports car feeling even more. To achieve a smaller turning circle on a curve or parking space, the front and rear wheels turn in opposing directions at speeds under 31 mph – creating a so called virtual wheelbase shortening.

For fast lane changes at high speed, the front and rear wheels are turned in the same direction, giving the feeling that the sports car has a longer wheelbase. This ensures greater stability, through the faster build-up of lateral force at the rear axle, and a dynamic steering feel.

The active rear-axle steering is available as an option for various models in the 911 series, Panamera and Cayenne.
