The esports world perked up when
After successfully passing the qualifying phase, 40 sim racers will continue to 10 main races. These will take place over the course of 5 months against the backdrop of reknown race circuits. The winner will be taking home the $100,000 prize pool. But until then, participants have to pass 3 phases within each event: the qualifying, a 15-minute sprint and a 30-minute main race. To create additional tension, the top 8 drivers from qualifying will start the sprint in reverse order. The result of the sprint race determines the starting grid of the main race. Championship points are awarded for qualifying, sprint and main race.
The premiere of the
The next race followed on April 27 on the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Ohio. The exciting race shone with numerous highlights and some accidents in the fiercly contested main field. In the end, German Martin Krönke of Team VRS Coanda Simsport took the lead and won the main race after already winning the sprint.
