Debut of the new Porsche 911 Carrera in VietnamThe seventh generation 911


Ho Chi Minh City. After much anticipation, Porsche Vietnam proudly presents the seventh generation of the Porsche iconic model, the 911 Carrera. The press conference was held at the Porsche Centre Saigon on Friday, 23rd March 2012 and will be followed by the launch at the Park Hyatt Hotel on Saturday, 24th March 2012.

“The 911 has been a Porsche identity and icon of the Porsche brand since its birth in 1963. It has always set the benchmark within the luxury sports cars segment, the model then passed through its DNA to the other models. Especially, the new 911 raises the performance and efficiency far beyond expectation. By introducing the new generation of the iconic 911, Porsche is offering unparalleled and exciting driving experience to the customers and aficionados in Vietnam.” said Mr. Andreas Klingler, General Director of Porsche Vietnam.

As a part of the exciting anticipation of the new 911 arrival in Vietnam, Porsche Vietnam is presenting exclusive offers to the first two owners of the new 911. The exclusive offer includes a special visit to the 911 assembly line at the Porsche factory and a visit to the state-of-the art Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany. Moreover, future owners will get a rare opportunity to test drive the new 911 on the Porsche-owned track – FIA compliant and Grade F1T certified for Formula 1 test laps – in Leipzig, Germany.

About the new 911 Carrera
The new Porsche 911 has emerged from the one of the biggest development steps in the long history of this classic sports car. Almost 90 percent of all components have been redesigned or redeveloped, yet keeping its DNA at the same time. The all-new lightweight body, completely new drivetrain and suspension systems offer a total new level of driving pleasure and even greater everyday practicality. At the same time, the fuel consumption and emission have been reduced up to 16 percent compared to the previous model.

The new 911 enters the Vietnam market in four different versions:

911 Carrera 3.4-litre boxer engine, 350 hp; rear-wheel drive, seven-speed manual transmission, optional seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK), acceleration 0 – 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds (4.4 seconds with optional PDK and Sport Chrono Package); top speed 289 km/h; fuel consumption (NEDC) 9.0 l/100 km, CO2 212g/km; with PDK 8.2l/100km CO2 194g/km.

911 Carrera S 3.8-litre boxer engine, 400 hp; rear-wheel drive, seven-manual transmission, optional seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK), acceleration 0 – 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds (4.1 sec-onds with optional PDK and Sport Chrono Package); top speed 304 km/h; fuel consumption (NEDC) 9.5 l/100 km, CO2 224g/km; with PDK 8.7l/100km CO2 205g/km.

911 Carrera Cabriolet 3.4-litre boxer engine with 350 hp; rear-wheel drive, seven-speed manual transmission, optional seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK); acceleration 0 – 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds, (4.6 seconds with optional PDK and Sport Chrono Package); top speed 286 km/h, fuel consumption (NEDC) 9.2 l/100 km, CO2 217 g/km; with PDK 8.4 l/100 km CO2 198 g/km.

911 Carrera S Cabriolet 3.8-litre boxer engine with 400 hp; rear-wheel drive, seven-speed manual transmission, optional seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK); acceleration 0 – 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds (4.3 seconds with optional PDK and Sport Chrono Package); top speed 301 km/h, fuel consumption (NEDC) 9.7 l/100 km, CO2 229 g/km; with PDK 8.9 l/100 km CO2 210 g/km.
