The legendary elevener, a classic sports car dream, “the Targa” has a special spot at Porsche. It was designed 50 years ago as a safe cabriolet, and its characteristic bar enabled it to take its place amongst designer icons.

The Targa bar was first in a silver colour, but in 1975 it was replaced by a black one. Today, the choice is yours: the bar, as an option, is also available in satin black. A style icon in both versions.

With the innovative, fully automatic roof system of the 7th generation, our engineers elevated the “targa” idea to its technical perfection.

The bar with the “targa” logo under the side gills and the elegantly curved rear window grant timeless elegance to the 911 Targa 4 models.

A technical characteristic is the standard all-wheel drive. For additional driving stability that comes through into the design too: with a chassis that is 44 mm wider and with the continuous taillight strip at the rear.

When it is closed, the 911 Targa is reminiscent of the profile of the 911, with the comfort of a Coupé. It is when the top is opened that the 911 Targa comes into its own: a style icon beyond all fashion, with a lot of tradition – and even more future.
