Tradition and quality - these values unite both long-term partners Porsche and C. & A. VELTINS brewery. Highest standards, total commitment and unique product design are significant factors in the success of both brands.
The cooperation between Porsche and C. & A. VELTINS brewery will now be continued for Porsche's return to the top class of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). The highlight of the seven world championship rounds is of course the best-known long distance race of them all, the Le Mans 24 hours. On March 24 2014 the new Le Mans prototype was revealed. With this revolutionary hybrid, Porsche is looking to build on its innumerable successes at Le Mans and usher in a new era. "We are delighted that the successful working relationship with Porsche is being continued in this way" says VELTINS Marketing Director Herbert Sollich. "The Le Mans 24 hours is extremely attractive and enjoys a high status which is not only confined to motor racing fans."
As official partner of the Porsche team, VELTINS will be close to the action when Porsche returns to Le Mans in June with two 919 racing machines in the LMP1 class and six racing drivers, including the former F1 driver Mark Webber.
The partnership with Porsche is familiar ground for the traditional brewery from Germany's Sauerland region. Veltins has been sponsoring motor racing activities since 1997 and has already partnered Porsche One Make Series for a number of years. In addition the current VELTINS returnable crate was developed together with the Porsche Design Studio.
