While qualifying did not go as well as the team would have wished, Avila still lined-up on the second row for the start of Round 3. Avila quickly went to work, piling the pressure on the race leaders head and in the final laps, Avila moved into third, extending the team’s 2011 podium run to three.

Quotes from Team Jebsen
Rodolfo Avila, Team Jebsen Driver:
“Consistency in the championship is important and I’ve learned over the past two years that you need to not miss any points and that you need to finish every race. In the past I might have been a little more aggressive because we definitely had the pace, but I’ve learned that I sometimes you have to take a step back and not take a risk that may put you out of the race.
We were not as quick in qualifying as we needed to be and suffered this weekend for that. But we did have better pace than the driver ahead of me. Unfortunately I just could not get by him.
I’m pleased that we showed our pace and consistency with a fourth podium place. The car was great all weekend and I’m looking forward to resuming the battle in Ordos in July.”
