Official opening of the special exhibition “60 years of Porsche Clubs” at the Porsche Museum
From 26 May to 26 August 2012 a special exhibition will be held on the subject of the Porsche Clubs and their major anniversary for the first time.
This year the community of Porsche enthusiasts is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Porsche Clubs. This is an occasion which of course we very much want to recognise, because the 181,000 members of Porsche Clubs throughout the world represent enthusiasm for Porsche and have close links with the brand and with our company. On 26 May 1952 this successful movement began with a unique idea which can now be experienced on a daily basis all over the world at the events staged by the 640 Porsche Clubs. The very first club of its kind, which was founded then, was the Porsche Club Hohensyburg in Westphalia in Germany.
This unique worldwide community of enthusiasts fills us with great pride and naturally we are very keen to turn the whole of 2012 into an anniversary celebration. There is a wide range of different activities to look forward to, but the high point of the year is the special exhibition “60 years of Porsche Clubs” at the Porsche Museum.
