Retired gas executive gets his dream car

It was a childhood dream come true for retired oil and gas executive Mohammad bin Awang Damit who drove home a restored Porsche classic- the 911 Carrera Cabriolet (Type 993), which was delivered at the Porsche Centre yesterday.

Presenting the keys to the proud owner was Deputy General Manager at QAF Eurokars Lahiru de Silva. Over the period of three months, QAF Eurokars did a complete overhaul of the engine by using Porsche Classic Genuine Parts, which serve the large population of classic vehicles ever built are still on the road all over the world.

To guarantee the restorations, QAF Eurokars provides a two-year warranty with a special concession of unlimited mileage to the owner. In addition, the customer was offered a complimentary service which included vehicle detailing and customised gift pack from Porsche’s merchandise.

Mohammad has been chasing his dream to own a Porsche since he was a teenager. Two years ago, he managed to find the classic 911 Carrera from a previous owner in Kuala Belait.

“When I first saw it, the body was in good condition. However, the engine needed some work. Porsche Classic parts are widely available and with excellent service from QAF Eurokars, the car will have another good 20 years on the road,” he chimed.

The dealership has prided itself on their competent staff that combined service and consultancy with know how for customer owning classic Porsche vehicles. This would be the second Porsche classic delivered.
