 Inspiration and attention to detail.

The designer F. A. Porsche is widely known – yet no one knows the man behind the name better than his family. Together with Porsche Sonderwunsch (special request), his sons have created a special tribute in his honour: The 911 GT3 90 F. A. Porsche.

The birth of a legend.

A simple 90 in the model name. In the spirit of the man whose birthday it commemorates: The creator of the iconic 911 design. Ferdinand Alexander was born in Stuttgart in 1935, the eldest of the four sons of Dorothea and Ferry Porsche. Even as a child, he spent a lot of time in the Stuttgart design office and development facilities of his grandfather Ferdinand.

Green – the family colour.

The Green body colour has been a Green thread running through the vehicle history of the Porsche family since 1963. At that time, F. A. Porsche had one of the first production 911s – still known as the type 901 – painted in Irish Green for his father, Ferry. The start of a tradition that continues to this day, which refined the family's vehicles in legendary colour tones such as Oak Greenmetallic, Brewster Green, Moss Green, Olive Green and Ancient Green.

A personal favourite.

F. A. Porsche had a preference for chequered jackets – understated in style, but unmistakable in effect. A detail that for his son, Mark, is inextricably linked to the memory of his father. One of these originals served as inspiration for the interior of the anniversary edition. A design statement with personal depth.

Heritage Design.

What once distinguished Ferdinand Alexander Porsche is reflected in today's Heritage Design strategy: A feel for timeless design. It goes without saying that popular design details such as the 1963 crest should characterise the appearance of the anniversary edition.

Chronograph I.

With the 911, F. A. Porsche refined his sense of purism. A decade later, he applied his design principles and the optimal readability of the 911’s cockpit instruments to the revolutionary Chronograph I. A special example of this worldwide first fully-Black timepiece is F. A. Porsche’s personal watch, bearing his initials on the dial – a gift from ORFINA and yet another source of inspiration for the 911 GT3 90 F. A. Porsche.

Porsche Design.

In 1972, F. A. Porsche founded Porsche Design in Stuttgart with his brother, Hans-Peter Porsche. Two years later, he opened the Porsche Design Studio in Zell am See – where, to this day, products are created that bring his design philosophy to life beyond the vehicle.

'90 F. A. Porsche' badge.

The electroplated Gold-plated badge on the vanes of the rear lid grille is another hallmark of this anniversary edition, recalling the ‘Porsche World Champion’ stickers that marked every production 911 in the late 1960s and early 1970s in recognition of countless motor sports victories.

Gold-coloured lettering.

From the mid-1950s onwards, the Gold-coloured signature on the rear end of Porsche models gave them an exclusive look. The 911 GT3 90 F. A. Porsche takes up this historical design element, transporting it into the modern age. Both the 'PORSCHE' lettering and the model designation are electroplated Gold-plated.
