Brand new Porsche Macan S steals the show at Dubai’s financial districtPorsche Centre Dubai showcases breath-taking line-up of luxury sports cars at MotorVillage DIFC

Dubai, UAE, March 30th – April 3rd 2014. Porsche Centre Dubai is showcasing a breath-taking line-up of four luxury sports cars at MotorVillage DIFC, with the newly launched Macan S sure to capture thousands of admiring looks at the heart of Dubai’s financial district this week.

The Macan, which is the world’s first sports car in the compact SUV segment, has an urban design and sporty feel that’s unmistakably matched to the high-achieving thrill seekers that are ubiquitous in Dubai.

It also marks Porsche’s pioneering steps to set new standards in driving dynamics and enjoyment, both on and off the road, boasting the typical sporty handling characteristics which have become synonymous with the Porsche brand.

Many of the design and performance elements of Macan have been inspired by other Porsche sports cars, including the iconic 911 and the 918 Spyder, making it clear that the compact SUV heralds the first of its kind.

Featuring exceptional acceleration, vast engine power, extreme agility and optimum steering precision, the Macan rewrites the rulebook on outstanding sporting comfort and everyday usability.

The Macan S is equipped with a 3.0-litre V6 biturbo engine delivering 340 hp and also features an active all-wheel drive with an electronically controlled, map-controlled multi-plate clutch.

Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds (or 5.2 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package fitted), it reaches a top speed of 254 km/h.

While the Porsche Macan S may be grabbing most of the attention this week at the MotorVillage DIFC, it’s certainly not alone in dazzling audiences with high-performance German engineering.

Porsche Centre Dubai, the sole distributor for Porsche in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, is also showcasing the 911 Turbo, the Panamera 4S Executive and the Cayenne GTS at the inaugural week-long showcase for high-end cars.

Celebrating 40 years in 2013, the 911 Turbo sets new reference values for the world’s most iconic sports car. The new all-wheel drive, active rear axle steering, adaptive aerodynamics, full-LED headlights and the up to 520hp flat six-cylinder engine with bi-turbo charging, underscore the role of the new generation 911 Turbo as both a circuit racing car, and everyday sports car.

For an even faster and more precise power distribution to the two axles, Porsche developed a new PTM all-wheel drive system with electronically controlled and activated multi-plate coupling.

The system is equipped with a new water cooling function, so that it can direct even more drive torque to the front wheels if necessary. Simultaneously, the optimised interplay of the engine, transmission and all-wheel drive systems takes the new top 911 to even better sprint capabilities.

What does all this mean? That it’s quick: the 911 Turbo with the standard Sport Chrono Package Plus accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds.

The Cayenne is Porsche Centre Dubai’s best-selling model, and the Cayenne GTS – on display at Motorvillage DIFC this week – has written history both on and off the track. The three letters combine exceptional racing performance with superb everyday agility that, at Porsche, have always stood for impressive figures.

The Cayenne GTS beats the heart of a pure-bred athlete that knows only one direction: straight ahead. The uprated, naturally aspirated 4.8-litre V8 engine delivers 309 kW (420 hp) and maximum torque of 515 Nm. The benchmark sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is completed in just 5.7 seconds. Top speed comes in at 261 km/h.

The athletic SUV is fitted with 20-inch RS Spyder Design wheels, featuring a race-inspired look and brake calipers with a red paint finish.

The interior continues the exclusive sports appeal that is synonymous with the Porsche brand. The door panels, armrests, seat centres and rooflining are finished in Alcantara, while he GTS sports seats with 8-way adjustment are highly dynamic thanks to their low positioning. With adjustable settings, they also offer exceptional comfort and support – even during performance driving.

Not to be outdone, the elegant and sophisticated Porsche Panamera 4S Executive gives the automotive executive class a new lease of life at MotorVillage DIFC.

Porsche’s four-seater sports car pushes contradictions to the limit, offering even sportier dynamics and greater efficiency with more comfort and a decidedly sharper design for the ultimate driving pleasure.
The Panamera 4S Executive has an extended wheelbase, giving more rear seating space and introduces features for a more private, comfortable ride.

The soft-close doors shut almost silently thanks to the standard assisted closing feature, whilst windows are designed to insulate against noise and heat. Privacy glass with its tinting and enhanced light reflecting properties is provided for the rear side windows, ensuring an undisturbed space at the rear.

A comprehensive range of additional personalisation options include a folding table for the rear compartment or Sport Chrono Package, and powering it along Sheikh Zayed Road between important meetings is a completely new V6 three-litre biturbo engine.

The Panamera 4S Executive, along with the entire line-up of the Porsche model range can be viewed at Porsche Centre Dubai’s flagship Sheikh Zayed Road showroom.
