911 GT3 RS highlights.
)
Vehicle concept.
The road-approved high-performance 911 GT3 RS sports car shows off its full potential on the race track. With a high-speed naturally aspirated engine, radical downforce and comprehensive lightweight construction.
Aerodynamics.
Porsche Active Aerodynamics (PAA) continuously adjusts the downforce based on all car data. On straights, the Drag Reduction System (DRS) reduces drag.
)
Lightweight construction.
The consistent use of carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) enables an unladen weight of just 1,450 kg. The parts made of CFRP include the doors, front wings, roof, bonnet and rear lid.
)
Chassis.
Optimised for use on a race track: the chassis with a wide track. Among other things, it ensures high lateral dynamics and improved anti-dive during braking.
)
High-revving naturally aspirated engine.
A well-rehearsed motorsports team: the 4.0 l six-cylinder flat engine with individual throttle valve intake system in combination with the lightweight stainless steel sport exhaust system.
)
Downforce update.
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is on course for record times – thanks to active aerodynamics, high downforce and a consistent lightweight construction.
)
Porsche Active Aerodynamics (PAA).
For higher cornering speeds, the front diffuser and rear wing are adjusted entirely automatically to the driving situation in just fractions of a second. The Drag Reduction System (DRS) provides the best conditions for the next flying lap by reducing drag on the straight.
)
Aero bars.
The aero bars on the front axle increase downforce by reducing swirling and the flow rate behind the bars – by up to 40 kg at top speed. Sophisticated technology, familiar from motorsports.
)
S-Duct front with single-cooler concept.
Like GT racing cars, the 911 GT3 RS has a single, large central radiator instead of the front luggage compartment. The S-shaped air guide gives the concept its name. The concept ensures outstanding aerodynamics in terms of downforce and brake cooling.
)
Wide Turbo body with lateral air intakes.
The wide Turbo body with lateral air intakes significantly contributes to the aerodynamic optimisation of the 911 GT3 RS – and reinforces its athletic appearance. It also opens up space for wider wheels that improve handling even further.
)
Form follows air flow.
Headwind is one of the biggest challenges on the way to fast lap times. The 911 GT3 RS uses air flow optimally with every component. The setup for the best possible drag coefficient is completed by a two-piece rear section with enlarged air vents, rear spoiler with rear ventilation and a diffuser.
)
Thrilling lightness.
The consistent use of carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) enables an unladen weight of just 1,450 kg. The fenders, bonnet in a specific RS shape and roof, among other elements, are all made of motorsports-tested materials. The CFRP rear wing with active aerodynamics, CFRP doors for optimised wheel arch vents, and lightweight forged aluminium and magnesium wheels also yield significant advantages on the race track.
)
Lightweight glazing.
The lightweight glazing with laminated glass and acoustic film on the windscreen, door and rear side windows and rear screen not only optimises the vehicle weight, but also improves the interior acoustics – by minimising external noise such as rolling and wind noise.
)
More personalised setup.
Wet asphalt, tight corner combinations, personal driving style: there are many factors to consider in motorsport for an optimal setup. That's why the steering wheel with three additional mode switches offers even more options for adapting chassis control systems to the actual driving conditions.
Maximum performance.
As soon as the starting light goes out, the 911 GT3 RS delivers unbelievable performance on the race track.
Motorsport packages.
The ideal basis for every sporting challenge and additional protection on the race track.
)
Weissach package.
)
Weissach package.
In a battle for thousandths, every gram counts. The optional Weissach package reduces the weight by almost 15 kg. In the cabin, the rear roll cage in a carbon-weave finish (satin) underscores its high ambitions – and offers additional racing level protection. The stabilisers on the front and rear axles, connecting rods on the rear axle and the carbon-fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) shear panel also ensure the absolute ideal weight is achieved.
)
Clubsport package.
)
Clubsport package.
The Clubsport package, optionally available at no extra cost, consists of a steel roll cage behind the front seats, which is bolted to the body and painted in Black or Guards Red as an option. Additionally, the 6-point seat belt for the driver's side increases safety.
Set the pace: 9,000 revolutions per minute.
The naturally aspirated engine and sport exhaust system ensure an unfiltered sound experience.
