How do I know if a position on the internet is still open or has already been filled?
All job offers are advertised until the advertised position is filled. The job offers are continuously updated. If there is currently no suitable position advertised for you, you are welcome to subscribe to job notifications free of charge. This way, you will be notified as soon as a suitable position is available.
What tips can I keep in mind when preparing my application documents?
Take plenty of time to prepare, and make sure that your application documents are complete. Be creative and even unconventional. Tell us why you are applying for the position and why it should be at Porsche. In short: stand out from the standard cover letter. That makes us interested to know more.
We believe that everyone has their strengths. Show us the professional focus that is most important to you, where your passion lies. In your documents, refer to the position you are applying for: make it clear that you meet the requirements stated there. This is very important in our pre-selection process. Only candidates who meet all the requirements are shortlisted.
How long does the application process take?
Since your application documents will be forwarded to several departments within our company, it is difficult to make a general statement about this. However, you will receive a notification confirming receipt of your application. Is a lack of professional experience in the application an exclusion criterion?
In general, applicants should have the professional experience mentioned in the job advertisement. Minor deviations are permitted. Professional experience is only recognised at the highest required level of education. There is an exception here for university graduates. Here, experience gained through internships or possibly previously completed vocational training is generally recognised.
What are the starting salaries for university graduates?
The remuneration stipulated in the employment contract at Porsche AG is based on the collective agreement of the metal and electronics industry in North Württemberg/North Baden. Individual provisions are based on the task performed and the respective qualifications and experience of the employees.
Individual, performance- and result-oriented remuneration components also guarantee fair remuneration that is attractive compared to the competition.
Which fields can I work in with my degree/subject area?
In principle, direct entry is possible in all areas of the company. In order to be able to master ongoing digitalisation developments along with the company-typical demands, IT at Porsche is becoming more and more important. The area is growing and there is a particular need for tech experts with knowledge of software development and IT project management and consulting.
Can I apply for several internship positions?
Please only apply for one advertised internship position. You are welcome to refer to other job vacancies that might be of interest to you in your cover letter. With your consent, we will also be happy to check your application for other internship offers that match your profile.
Is the internship paid?
Yes. A distinction is made between a mandatory internship as part of your studies (free of social security contributions) and a voluntary internship (subject to social security contributions). After deducting the taxes, the net amounts of the remuneration roughly correspond. The remuneration is the same for students studying for bachelor's and master's degrees.
Does Porsche offer the opportunity for working student jobs?
Yes. As a working student at Porsche, you can complete practical training during the semester. Employment opportunities exist in almost all areas of the company. For example, in our development centre in Weissach.
Your working time is set individually between 10 and 18 hours per week. This way you can continue obtaining theoretical knowledge for the practical work.
Is it possible to work remotely?
That depends on the employment area and the activity. We offer our permanent employees, student trainees and interns the opportunity to work remotely, provided that the job allows it. In principle, up to twelve days of remote work per month are possible, subject to consultation with your superior.
