The Porsche Museum celebrates the 37th International Museum Day Free admission on Sunday, 18th May

Stuttgart . To mark the 37th International Museum Day, the Porsche Museum is offering special visitor activities for young and old on Sunday 18th May under this year's nationwide slogan 'Collecting Unites'. Admission on the day is free of charge for all visitors. All those interested will for the first time also be able to go on one-hour guided tours providing an insight into the museum workshop, which is not normally open to the public. The guided tours start at noon and 4 pm. For young visitors aged 8 to 12 the museum is putting on a special kids' programme: children will get an insight into the work of a curator and will be able to put together their own small museum. This two-hour event will take place twice, at 10 am and 2 pm.

From 10 am, nine Porsche Clubs will also be presenting one vehicle each on the museum forecourt. The clubs are: 'Porsche Diesel Club Europa e.V.'; 'Porsche Jagdwagen Registry e.V.'; 'Porsche Club Carrera RS e.V.'; 'Porsche 914 Club Deutschland e.V.'; 'Porsche 924/944 Club Deutschland e.V.'; 'Porsche 356 Club Deutschland e.V.'; 'Porsche 968 Club Deutschland e.V.'; 'Porsche Club für den klassischen 911 Südwest e.V.'; and the 'Porsche 928 Club Deutschland e.V.'.

The International Museum Day was initiated in 1978 by the International Council of Museums (ICOM). Since 1992, the day has had an annually changing slogan, with which numerous museums always get involved. The aim is to draw attention to the broad spectrum of museum work and the diversity of subject matter in museums all over the world.

The Porsche Museum is open Tuesdays to Sundays from 9 am to 6 pm. Further details are available online at www.porsche.com/museum and www.museumstag.de.
