Porsche supplies over 11,000 sports cars to customers in February Model ranges 911 and Boxster in particular demand

Stuttgart . In February 2014, Porsche AG again increased deliveries to customers. With 11,061 cars sold worldwide, the sports car manufacturer had an increase of just fewer than six per cent compared to the same month last year. In the first two months of 2014, Porsche sold its customers a total of 23,286 new cars.

“We’re as at February over last year’s figures all around the world,” said Bernhard Maier, Member of the Executive Board Sales and Marketing of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG. “That says a lot about our fascinating products and a high level of achievement along the entire added value chain. At the moment, we’re introducing the new Macan to our dealers in Barcelona before its worldwide launch starting in April,” he said.

In February 2014 deliveries in Europe developed very positively – over 3,300 vehicles sold mean an increase of 14 per cent over February 2013. For the German market, Porsche reports around 1,500 new cars delivered, an increase of 13 per cent over February 2013. Particularly pleasing was the reaction by US customers. With some 3,200 deliveries, Porsche achieved an increase of 14 per cent in its biggest market compared to the same month last year.

In February 2014 the Panamera had a large share in the company’s success with slightly less than 2,000 units delivered, an increase of eight per cent. In the reference month, 1,700 customers around the world were the happy buyers of the Boxster model range – including the new Cayman – which represents a considerable 60 per cent increase compared to February 2013.
