Christophorus wins “Best of Corporate Publishing” prizeSignificant awards for Porsche’s customer magazine

Berlin/Stuttgart. For the first time, “Christophorus – The Porsche Magazine” has been honoured with a gold medal at the BCP Awards, the most important European competition for corporate communications. The competition jury explained its award selection as follows: “This magazine is like its product – simply fascinating! This year, Christophorus earned first place by its bold mix of subject matter, strong imagery and spectacular layout.“

Christophorus has appeared for 60 years now as a magazine devoted to friends of the Porsche company, making it one of the most tradition-rich customer magazines in Germany. Christophorus also made great strides forward with the evolution of the new 911. The department for Public Relations and Press at Porsche AG is responsible for the magazine – which is published every two months in ten languages and has a circulation of 380,000. It is created in cooperation with the creative services agency KircherBurkhardt of Stuttgart.

At the awards presentation at the Berlin Postbahnhof, the video “Porsche Monte Carlo” won the silver award in the category of “Digital Media – Best use of video”. Produced as part of the cross-media strategy of Christophorus, it features Walter Röhrl and a 911 Carrera in the main roles.

This is already the third significant award for Christophorus this year. The customer magazine also enjoyed successes in the prestigious “red dot: best of the best 2012” European design competition and at the North American Astrid Awards.

“Christophorus is not only our lead medium, it is also a good example of how credible media content can be communicated in journalistic styles in corporate publishing. We follow a clear line in terms of content and visual presentation, which creates an ideal stage for the Porsche brand,” says Hans-Gerd Bode, head of the department of Public Relations and Press.
