Porsche holds its growth course in North AmericaCayenne and 911 post significant increases

Stuttgart. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, remains on track for growth with 3,600 vehicles sold in May 2007. Growth as against the same month of the previous year, when 3,541 vehicles were delivered to customer, amounts to 1.7%. Thus, the manufacturer of premium sporty vehicles achieved its highest figure for the month of May in the history of the Company in the US and Canada. Above all, this success is due to the 911 and Cayenne model series. The new generation of the Cayenne, which was launched in North America in March 2007, is being excellently received.

In May, 1,198 units of the new Cayenne were delivered in the US and Canada, an increase of 8.7% on the same month of the previous year. In the past month, sales of 911 were up 13.2% year-on-year at 1,320 vehicles. The 911 Turbo was particularly popular among customers with 357 deliveries. This news is all the better as the convertible of this hit model, the 911 Turbo Cabriolet, will be launched on global markets on September 8. Of the Boxster model series 1,082 units were sold in North America, with the Cayman and Cayman S models accounting for 616 of these. Overall, this model series is down 14.5% as against the previous year.
