Eckhard Eybl new Head of Product Press – Oliver Hilger in charge of motor sportTwo additions to the Porsche AG Press department

Stuttgart. The Press department of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is set to gain a renowned motor journalist as the new Head of Product Press: Eckhard Eybl (53) is leaving Verlag Motor Presse, Stuttgart, on May 1 to join the automobile manufacturer based in Zuffenhausen. Mr. Eybl, who is Chief Editor of the magazine “Auto Focus”, will join the Press and Public Relations department where he will act as Head of Product Press and contact person for automotive journalists. Eybl will succeed Cypselus von Frankenberg, who left the company at the end of February.

Eybl was born in Wels, Austria on January 10, 1954. After completing a degree in journalism and communication studies (including a period of voluntary service for the Austrian daily newspaper “Kurier”), he began his career as editor of the Austrian magazine “Autorevue” in 1977, where he would later become Head of Department. In 1982, he moved to the Swiss weekly magazine “Motorsport aktuell” where he assumed the position of editorial coordinator. Three years later, he joined “Auto, Motor und Sport” in Stuttgart and has been in charge of the magazine “Auto Focus” since 2004 in his capacity as Chief Editor.

Oliver Hilger (32) joined the Product Press department on February 1, 2007, where he is in charge of motor and sport journalism. Before joining Porsche, he was editor of “Rallye Racing” and “Auto Bild Motorsport”.
Mr. Hilger is a declared connoisseur of the racing scene. He possesses an international racing driver license and has participated in numerous brandname cup races and rallies.
