Dr. Jürgen Geßler appointed new Chairman of Management BoardPorsche Lizenz- und Handelsgesellschaft expands corporate management team

Stuttgart. The Advisory Board of Porsche Lizenz- und Handelsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG (PLH), Bietigheim-Bissingen, has appointed Dr. Jürgen Geßler (42) as the new Chairman of the Management Board. The sales expert, who has been in charge of marketing for Porsche Deutschland GmbH since 2002, succeeds
Dr. Siegmund Rudigier, who left the company in July 2006.
Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG holds a 65 percent stake in PLH. The remaining shares are held by FaPo Beteiligungen GmbH.

The Advisory Board has also named Roland Heiler (48), Managing Director of the design studio in Zell am See, Austria, as a future member of the PLH management team. A further managing director, who will be responsible for the Finance division, will be appointed shortly. In expanding the management team, the Advisory Board is taking into account the increasing number of tasks performed by corporate management at the Porsche subsidiary. PLH owns the Porsche Design and Porsche Design Driver’s Selection brands and the design studio in Zell am See.

After completing a degree and doctorate at the University of Karlsruhe in 1991, Dr. Jürgen Geßler began his professional career in a junior management development group of Mercedes-Benz AG. One year later he moved to the marketing department of BMW AG’s Motorrad division. From 1994 to 1998, as product manager he was responsible for Accessories for Porsche AG. After holding positions as Head of Marketing for the Chrysler brand and Managing Director of the Düsseldorf-based advertising agency U5, he returned to Porsche in 2002, where he has since been responsible for marketing for
Porsche Deutschland GmbH.
