Porsche still on target in North AmericaSports cars continue to enjoy huge popularity

Stuttgart. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, continued to perform well in August 2006 in North America in a difficult market environment, with 2,554 vehicles delivered. In August of the previous year, unit sales were 2,894; a decline of 12 percent. In the first eight months of 2006, the manufacturer of sporty premium vehicles significantly boosted deliveries in the US and Canada by eleven percent to 25,559 units. This is the highest figure that the Company has generated in this period in its history.

The 911 once again met with a strong response among customers in North America in August 2006, with 990 vehicles sold (previous year: 1,048). The Boxster model series accelerated to 827 vehicles (previous year: 661), including 548 units of the Cayman S. 735 units of the sporty all-terrain Cayenne vehicles were delivered (previous year: 1,154). It should be noted that the sales decline is due to lifecycles and the fact that Porsche still does not boost its sales with plant discounts.
