Amélie Mauresmo looks forward to StuttgartWimbledon winner at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix

Stuttgart. At the premiere of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart’s new Porsche Arena, the newly-crowned Wimbledon winner will be competing: Amélie Mauresmo, who defeated Justine Henin-Hardenne in the final of the All England Championships to win her second Grand Slam title after the Australian Open in 2006, is one of the many world class players to play in Stuttgart from 30 September to 8 October.

“Amélie told me at Wimbledon how much she is looking forward to the tournament“, says Markus Guenthardt, director of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. “Like the other players she is especially keen to see the new Porsche Arena.“

The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix is a fixture not only in the tournament schedule of the current world number 1. Belgium’s Justine Henin-Hardenne, the French woman’s opponent in the Wimbledon final, and semi-finalists Kim Clijsters (Belgium) as well as Maria Scharapowa (Russia) will play for prize money of 650,000 dollars and a Porsche in the Porsche Arena.
