Porsche subsidiary MHP celebrates tenth anniversary"A jewel in the consultancy sector" – nearly 300 new jobs created since 1996

Stuttgart/Freiberg am Neckar. Mieschke Hofmann und Partner (MHP), Gesellschaft für Management- und IT-Beratung mbH, today celebrates its ten-year anniversary. Founded by Dr. Lutz Mieschke and Dr. Ralf Hofmann in Karlsruhe-Ettlingen in 1996, the company has since developed from being purely an SAP consultant into one of the most successful German process and IT consultancy companies. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, invested in MHP for the first time with a share of 49% in 1999. Following an increase to 51% in July 2002, Porsche currently holds 74.8%.

MHP has continued to increase its number of customers every year since it was founded. Sales increased by more than 49% to EUR 36 million in the 2004/2005 financial year (July 31) alone. The Managing Directors of MHP also anticipate new records for sales and income in the current financial year. In addition to its headquarters in Schloss Heutingsheim in Freiberg am Neckar, MHP also has offices in Ludwigsburg, Munich and Essen.

Dr. Wendelin Wiedeking, President and Chief Executive Officer of Porsche AG: "Mieschke Hofmann und Partner is a real jewel in the consultancy sector. In the space of only ten years, this company has continually developed its knowledge and expertise and, in addition to Porsche AG, has thus acquired around 250 renowned customers outside the vehicle industry as well."

A particular highlight is that nearly 300 new jobs have been created as a result of the positive business development at the IT consultancy company. "This also fits in perfectly with Porsche: MHP is not creating jobs just anywhere in the world, but in Germany, particularly in the high-wage state of Baden-Württemberg." According to Wiedeking, the company is currently Porsche's fastest growing subsidiary and there is no doubt that the close ties with the sports car manufacturer supply the tailwind. On the other hand, however, Porsche also benefits from the IT experts' process expertise – "just the way it should be in a functional Swabian family," says Wiedeking.

MHP provides its customers with fully integrated solutions throughout the process chain, from planning and implementation to the management of IT solutions. MHP aims to develop into the leading process and IT expert on the German automotive market. Strategic innovations are already being transferred to other sectors outside this core market.

In addition to its economic success, an independent image study carried out by the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar also shows that MHP is on the right course. The company was rated first for automotive expertise and third for SAP expertise in the study of the top 20 German IT consultancy companies.
