Eissmann Automotive Deutschland GmbH is Porsche supplier of the yearStuttgart sports car manufacturer presents "Supplier Awards 2005"

Stuttgart/Leipzig. Eissmann Automotive Deutschland GmbH, Bad Urach, has been crowned best supplier of 2005 for Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart. The supplier of interior components has been working with the Stuttgart-based sports car manufacturer since 1986, primarily convincing the company with its excellent services and in their joint development activities. Services provided by Eissmann range from the leather instrument surround for the Porsche Cayenne and door trim for the Cayman S to leather-covered gear knobs for all Porsche model series.

In addition to Eissmann, Porsche also presented the "Supplier Award 2005" to nine other prize winners from the areas of purchasing, logistics, quality, development and after-sales for their particular achievements: ASK Industries S.p.A (Reggio Emilia, Italy), FUBA Automotive GmbH & Co. KG (Bad Salzdetfurth), GPM Geräte- und Pumpenbau GmbH (Merbelsrod), Leiber OHG Aluminium Umform- und Bearbeitungstechnik (Emmingen), Michelin Reifenwerke KgaA (Karlsruhe), Radsystem GmbH (Zwickau), Wiegand GmbH (Schlotheim), Siegle + Epple GmbH & Co. KG (Stuttgart) and Horst Mosolf GmbH & Co. KG with SAT Sächsische Autotransport und Service GmbH (Kirchheim unter Teck/Glauchau).

Members of the Executive Board Holger P. Härter (Finance and Controlling) and Michael Macht (Production and Logistics) presented the coveted awards to representatives of the prize-winning companies during the 13th Porsche Suppliers' Day, which was held at the Porsche Leipzig GmbH customer center.

Dr. Wendelin Wiedeking, President and Chief Executive Officer of Porsche AG, highlighted the importance of working with suppliers for the Stuttgart-based sports car manufacturer: "Maintaining the highest possible production quality at the same time as coping with increased production runs would not have been possible without the continued dedication and high-quality services performed by our partners from the supplier industry."

The Porsche President and Chief Executive Officer also emphasized the recognition of Germany as a production site at the Suppliers' Day: "Thanks to our joint development work with our suppliers, Porsche is making an important contribution to improving the ability of Germany to compete and to innovate." German engineering craftsmanship and "Made in Germany" quality provide a crucial competitive advantage on the international markets and also secure jobs in the country.
